How do I activate my Ella's Bubbles walk-in tub warranty?

Activating your warranty is simple. Complete the two-page Warranty Activation Form, have it signed by both you (the owner) and your installer, and return it together with a copy of your sales receipt to [email protected]. You can also activate online at ellasbubbles.com/warranty-activation/. Completing this step at installation time is the best way to make sure your Lifetime Limited Warranty is on file and ready the day you might need it.

What to Gather Before You Start

  • Serial number: on the label located behind the magnetic access panel next to the door.
  • Model number, SKU, or UPC: on your product page after selecting your options, or on your proposal or invoice.
  • A copy of your sales receipt: it must be returned along with the form.
  • Your installer's credentials: the installer must include the electrician's license and insurance information on the form.

How the Two-Page Form Works

The form has a page for the owner and a page for the installer, and both signatures are required. The installer also initials a 16-point checklist confirming the installation was completed and tested correctly:

  1. Tub is level with all leveling legs touching the floor
  2. Electrical work performed by a licensed electrician
  3. Dedicated GFCI breaker installed
  4. Frame grounded
  5. Door seal cleaned with rubbing alcohol
  6. Thermostatic control valve checked on hot and cold
  7. Both diverters checked
  8. Hand shower checked on all settings
  9. Supply lines checked for leaks with diverters on
  10. Drain stoppers open and close, with the locking nut tightened on both
  11. Door seal confirmed watertight after a 20-minute fill
  12. Hydro and air pumps run for 20 minutes with all connections watertight
  13. Chromatherapy light checked
  14. Ozone checked (when ozone runs by itself it makes a light humming noise, which is normal)
  15. Drain fittings checked while the tub drains
  16. Service access to plumbing and electrical retained

Watch: Installation Tips That Mirror the Checklist

Our Installation Tips and Recommendations video walks through the very items your installer will be initialing. A few highlights worth confirming together before you sign:

  • Leveling: check every side of the tub with a level and use a slip of paper to confirm all feet are securely on the ground, adjusting the leveling legs as necessary. Proper leveling assures proper door alignment, and proper door alignment is critical to a leak-proof seal.
  • Leak test: we suggest filling the tub completely and leaving the water in overnight to check for leaks, then running the air, hydro, and electrical systems for 20 minutes under inspection with a flashlight.
  • Electrical: connections must use dedicated GFCI-protected outlets, and the breaker box must use GFCI-protected breakers with the appropriate amperage for your tub's components.
  • Supply lines: never over-torque the supply lines. Over-torquing damages the internal gasket and could cause a leak. We recommend 3/4 inch supply lines with shut-off valves.
  • Door seal care: your tub ships with the door locked, so leave it open for a short period so the gasket can regain its shape, and leave the door unlocked when the tub is not in use to extend the life of the gasket.
