Does Ella Offer an Extended Warranty as My First Year Ends?

Ella's Bubbles does not offer an extended warranty, and you do not need one. Every new Ella walk-in tub comes with a limited lifetime warranty on the tub and its parts for the original purchaser, so there is no first-year cutoff to plan around. What matters as your first anniversary approaches is that your warranty activation form is on file, because activation is what puts the coverage in force.

Why There Is Nothing to Renew

Customers often ask about extended coverage because they are used to appliance plans that run out. An Ella warranty works differently. The limited lifetime warranty covers the tub shell, frame, door, door seal and finish, and it also covers the supporting equipment such as the pumps, motors, electronic controls, faucet, waste and overflow. Coverage is for parts. When something fails, the team verifies the problem, and the replacement part ships to the original purchaser's address under the warranty.

A few items carry their own terms. The thermostatic control valve in an Ella thermostatic faucet package has a one-year limited warranty, and a faucet that is not an Ella brand carries only its own manufacturer's warranty. For how the massage equipment is treated, see the jet and pump warranty article.

What the Warranty Does Not Include

Ella does not send technicians and does not cover labor. When a part ships under warranty, a local licensed plumber or electrician does the work, and Ella's technical support is available by phone and email to answer that person's questions. Routine upkeep is the owner's responsibility, and it is simple. Once a month, combine 2 cups of white vinegar with 2 cups of water, fill the tub with water to one inch above the highest jets, add the mixture, run the tub for 10 minutes, then drain. An extended plan would not change any of this, which is one reason Ella does not offer one.

Check That Your Activation Is on File

When a customer asks about extended coverage near the one-year mark, the first thing the team does is look up the activation. Warranty activation is required to put the warranty in force. The two-page form must be completed and signed by both you and your installer and returned to Ella's Bubbles together with a copy of your sales receipt. If you are not sure whether yours was received:

  1. Find your serial number on the label behind the magnetic access panel next to the door.
  2. Open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support or call (800) 480-6850 and ask the team to confirm that your activation is on file.
  3. If it is not, the team will send a blank form. Complete it with your installer's signature and return it as described in How Do I Activate My Warranty?

If the form gives you trouble, the activation troubleshooting guide can help. If you bought through a dealer or installer, this guide to dealer and installer purchases explains how the warranty works in that case. If the tub came with a house you bought, start with the guide for new owners, since the warranty is nontransferable and tied to the original purchaser and installation address.

Common Questions

Can I buy an extended warranty from Ella's Bubbles?
No. Ella does not offer an extended warranty. Your tub is already covered by a limited lifetime parts warranty for the original purchaser, so there is nothing to add when the first year ends.
Does my walk-in tub warranty expire after the first year?
No. The limited lifetime warranty on the tub and its parts continues for the original purchaser at the original installation address. The one exception is the thermostatic control valve, which carries a one-year limited warranty.
Does the warranty pay for a plumber to repair my tub?
No. The warranty covers replacement parts, which ship after the team verifies the problem. A local licensed plumber or electrician performs the labor, and Ella's technical support can answer that person's questions by phone or email.
What if I never sent in the activation form?
Activation is required to put the warranty in force, so contact the team right away. They will check the system for your purchase and send a blank form if nothing is on file. Have it signed by you and your installer and return it with a copy of your sales receipt.
Is my warranty different if I bought through a dealer?
The published Ella warranty is the same, but Ella is not bound by promises a dealer, retailer or contractor makes on its own. Any labor guarantee comes from the installer who did the work. The dealer and installer guide linked above explains how activation works in that case.
