Stage 1: Delivery, Inspection and Fit

The overview video. Confirm the tub fits by using actual dimensions: the Elite is listed at 30 x 52 but is 29 3/4 inches wide, and the Petite listed at 28 x 52 is 27 1/2 inches wide, so an Elite clears a 30 inch door. Inspect for shipping damage and call (800) 480-6850 if you find any. Fill the tub outside if possible to check for transit leaks, recheck every air, hydro and electrical connection, and remove all panels and aprons before the tub comes indoors. New holes are drilled in the subfloor for the four-port dual drain; connect all four ports or one side and cap the rest, with a 2 inch house drain recommended. Level on every side, using a slip of paper to confirm each foot is down. Leave the door open so the gasket recovers its shape. Use 3/4 inch supply lines with shut-offs and never over-torque them. Fill and leave the water overnight, run air, hydro and electrical for 20 minutes under a flashlight inspection, and use dedicated GFCI-protected outlets and breakers sized to the components.

Stage 2: Leveling and Door Alignment

• Leveling legs are critical (CvjPN4-Rra8): up to eight legs, every foot on the floor, check level on all sides. Owning article: the walk-in tub leveling guide.

Stage 3: Drains

The industry standard is a single 1 1/2 inch drain; Ella uses two oversized 2 inch drains with four T-type ports, and the video shows water flowing from all four into the house drain. A right-side door puts the drains on the right and the house connection on the left, and the reverse for a left door. It shows a before-and-after with dual P-traps and the new connection to the main. A 2 inch main is recommended, but a T or Y into a 1 1/2 inch house drain works; this customer used two of the four ports and capped the unused side. The easy-turn drain handles are also dual air vents. A few models use an oversized single drain with an emergency pull chain that still uses the dual-port T-type body. Stage 4: Electrical and Grounding

The electrical components are clearly marked and ETL certified. Every tub connection uses a dedicated GFCI-protected outlet, the tub cannot share a circuit with any other appliance, and the breaker box uses GFCI breakers with amperage sized to the tub's components. Stage 5: Panels, Extension Panels and the Tile Flange

The extension panel, or fill kit, is set after the tub and cut to whatever the walls are, so out-of-square walls get a seamless finish and a place for soaps and towels. Underneath, adjustable stainless shelf-support brackets that are part of the frame carry the panel, so the load never rests on the silicone joint.
