Warranty Coverage for Ella Shower Bases: 30-Year Limited Terms and the 10-Day Claim Window

Ella's Bubbles shower bases are covered by their own shower base warranty, separate from the Lifetime Limited Warranty on our walk-in tubs. Both the Roll-In and Barrier-Free shower bases and pans and the Low-Threshold acrylic shower bases carry a 30-Year Limited Warranty against defects in workmanship or material, measured from the date of purchase, provided the product is installed and maintained according to Ella's Bubbles recommended procedures, and a claim must be reported within 10 days of discovering a defect. Here is what that coverage includes, what can void it, and how to file a claim within the required window.

Coverage at a Glance

If an inspection discloses a covered defect, Ella's Bubbles will, at its election, repair, replace, or make an appropriate adjustment. Like our walk-in tub warranty, this is a parts remedy: Ella's Bubbles is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other incidental or consequential costs, including the cost to remove or reinstall the product. Warranty costs must also be agreed upon with Ella's Bubbles before any work begins, so please contact us before hiring anyone to make a repair.

Conditions and Exclusions to Know

• Coverage applies only at the original installation location and is non-transferable.
• The warranty is void if the product is subject to improper maintenance, abuse, misuse such as exceeding the stated weight capacity, accident, or modification inconsistent with the product as shipped. Drilling into the shower base threshold is explicitly included as a voiding modification.
• Normal wear and tear is not covered.
• Defects caused by the freight carrier, the installer, the user, or other persons are not covered.

Installation Details That Protect the Warranty

This installation video shows the steps that keep a base fully supported and therefore fully covered. The framing pocket is checked for square, plumb and level and the subfloor must be solid. The base is dry-fit, leveled and the threshold line marked before the 2 inch no-caulk drain body is installed. The built-in back support leg must contact the subfloor, and the video notes the warranty depends on it, so its line is marked and beads of silicone adhesive are laid every 2 inches at least 1 inch high before the pan is set, re-leveled and screwed to the studs with countersunk stainless screws. A base that is fully bedded and level is a base that will not crack or flex, which is what a 30-year term assumes.

The 10-Day Claim Window

Timing matters with shower base claims. The warranty asks you to notify Ella's Bubbles within 10 days of discovering a defect, so reach out as soon as you notice an issue rather than waiting for a convenient moment. Here is how to file:

1. Note what you found and when you discovered it.
2. Take clear photos of the affected area. Be prepared to provide them if requested, as photos are part of the standard review.
3. Open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support or call (800) 480-6850 within 10 days of discovering the defect.
4. Allow reasonable time for the review and for repairs to commence and be completed.

How This Differs from the Walk-In Tub Warranty

Your Ella walk-in tub is covered by the Lifetime Limited Warranty, which has its own terms, exclusions, and claim process. The shower base warranty described here is a distinct 30-year program with its own 10-day notification requirement.
