Items 1 and 2 are massage systems in their own right, each with its own pump. Items 3 through 6 are the supporting electronics: the control box that switches the loads, the ozone generator that sanitizes the hydro lines, the in-line heater that keeps circulating water warm, and the LED chromatherapy light with its own LED control box and push control.

Seat Circuit

Follow the seat side of the drawing from the deck controls downward. The Hydro Massage push control and its Air Flow Hydro Massage Intensity Dial Control feed a Relay Switch. The relay switches on the Seat Jets Hydro Pump, which pushes water Out, then To Hydro Jets, and finally into the seat Hydro Jets themselves. The Ozone Generator is drawn on this same circuit with its "Ozone Out to Hydro System" line, so the sanitizing ozone is introduced into the seat hydro plumbing. The intensity dial is an air control on an air hose: turning it lets more or less air into the hydro stream so the massage feels softer or stronger without changing the pump itself.

Foot Circuit and Where the Heater Sits

The foot side has its own, completely separate chain. A second Air Flow Hydro Massage Intensity Dial Control and the foot ON/OFF button feed a second Relay Switch. From that relay, the drawing routes through the In-Line Water Heater and then to the Foot Jets Hydro Pump, which delivers water to the foot Hydro Jets. In this configuration the in-line water heater is plumbed in the foot hydro loop, not the seat loop. That is why the heater only does its work while the foot hydro pump is circulating water; it is designed to maintain the temperature of water already in the tub, as described in how the in-line water heater maintains temperature, rather than to heat cold water on the way in.

Independent Dials and Buttons

The most important thing this schematic shows is that nothing about the seat massage depends on the foot massage, and vice versa. Each system has its own ON/OFF control, its own intensity dial, its own relay, and its own pump. You can fill the tub only to the foot well and enjoy a foot massage on its own, run only the seat jets in a full tub, or run both together for a full-body hydro massage. Diagnosing One Side at a Time

Because the two hydro systems are drawn as separate chains, the diagram doubles as a troubleshooting map, and since the LED light has its own control box, a chromatherapy light that will not turn on is unrelated to either pump circuit. If the foot jets run but the seat jets do not, everything on the foot chain (its button, dial, relay, pump, and the outlet feeding it) is proven good, and attention belongs on the seat chain.

  1. Confirm the water level covers the jets of the system you are testing; a hydro pump needs water at its intake.
  2. Press the ON/OFF control for that system once and listen for the pump.
  3. Turn that system's intensity dial fully open; a closed air dial can make a running pump feel weak.
  4. Check both GFCI outlets and reset any that have tripped, since the diagram does not label which outlet feeds which component.
