This page explains the Hydro Therapeutic Massage + Microbubble Therapy component diagram drawn for the Ella Front Entry walk-in tub, and in particular why this package is wired to two dedicated electrical lines. It comes from the official schematic hydro-microbubble-front-entry.pdf, revision dated 02-04-26, which prints "Available With: Front Entry." A Two-Outlet Diagram for One Model
Unlike the Front Entry Air + Hydro drawing, which prints a single outlet, this diagram prints two: Outlet #1 and Outlet #2, each labeled Wall Outlet, GFCI Protected, Dedicated Line, 20 AMP, 120 Volts. The reason is simple. The hydro massage system and the microbubble system are two separate pump circuits, each with its own relay and its own push control, and each pump is a significant load in its own right. The Four Numbered Components
The legend numbers four components. The labels are repeated exactly as printed.

A note on the first label: the legend prints it as "Hydro Foot Massage System," while the Front Entry spec sheet lists the hydro system's 13 jets as 11 seat jets and 2 calf jets. The drawing shows the hydro pump feeding the seat jets, so read item 1 as the tub's single hydro massage system. There is no LED chromatherapy light on this diagram, which matches the Front Entry spec sheet's note that no package for this model includes one.
The Hydro Loop
The hydro side is drawn as a chain. The Hydro Massage push control on the deck signals a Relay Switch, which starts the Hydro Pump. Water leaves the pump "Out To Hydro Jets," passes through the In-Line Water Heater, and reaches the hydro jets. The heater is wired through the control box and runs only while the pump runs, so it maintains the temperature of the circulating water. The Ozone Generator is drawn with the arrow "Ozone Out to Hydro System," so ozone sanitation is injected into this loop automatically; no ozone control for the bather appears on the diagram. An Air Hose links the Air Flow Hydro Massage Intensity Dial Control to the hydro system, which is how the dial lets you soften or strengthen the jets by mixing in air.
The Microbubble Loop
The microbubble side is a separate circuit with its own path, printed as: Water in, to Water Pump, to MicroBubbles Pressure Tank, to Micro Bubbles Out to Jet. The Infusion Microbubbles Push Control on the deck signals its own Relay Switch, which starts the water pump. The pump drives water into the pressure tank (the legend's Pressure Vessel), where water and air are combined under pressure, and the water then releases through the microbubble jet as a cloud of tiny bubbles that turns the bath cloudy white. Electrical Printed on the Diagram
Two outlets are printed, #1 and #2, each Wall Outlet, GFCI Protected, Dedicated Line, 20 AMP, 120 Volts. Components are marked Electrical 110V, and the page carries the disclaimer "Please View Specifications for Electrical Amperage (A), Voltage (V) and Wattage (W)." The Front Entry spec sheet supplies those figures.

The spec sheet notes that the AMP value for each pump may change based on availability, so confirm with your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850 before the circuits are sized. A model-by-model summary is in electrical requirements by model.
Checks When Bubbles Stop
The diagram gives you the order to check things in, because the microbubble circuit is a chain: push control, relay switch, water pump, pressure tank, jet.
- Confirm Outlet #2's GFCI has not tripped. Because the two systems are on separate lines, the hydro massage can run normally while the microbubble line is dead. Reset the receptacle or breaker.
- Make sure the water covers the microbubble port and the intake before pressing the Infusion Microbubbles push control; the water pump needs water to prime.
- Press the push control and listen behind the access panel for the water pump. Silence points to the push control, its relay, or the pump's cord and connection.
- If the pump runs but the water stays clear, the trouble is downstream of the pump, in the pressure tank or the jet. Do not open the pressure vessel yourself.
