An Ella walk-in tub ships as a complete, factory-assembled package. The therapy systems you selected, the Ella fast-fill faucet with hand shower on models that include a faucet, the grab bars for that model, the drain assembly, the controls and one end panel are all in the crate. There is no separate hardware kit to buy. Your plumber supplies only the PVC couplings and pipe needed to tie into your home's drain and water supply. Heated seat and backrest, shower columns and a second end panel are optional and appear as their own lines on your order.

What Every Faucet-Equipped Tub Includes

  • The tub, fully assembled, jetted and tested before it is crated.
  • An Ella fast-fill deck-mount faucet, your choice of the 2-piece or 5-piece set at order time. The hand shower is part of the faucet set, which is why it does not appear as a separate accessory on your order paperwork.
  • The grab bar or bars specified for the model, in a chrome finish.
  • The drain assembly, single or dual depending on the model, with the drain openers.
  • Push controls or the digital control for the therapies ordered.
  • One end panel for the exposed short end.

The exception is the LayDown family. The LayDown60 is never sold with a factory faucet and needs a customer-supplied faucet, while the LayDown72 is faucet-ready and offers the Ella deck-mount fast-fill faucets as an option at order time.

What Each Therapy Package Adds

A hydro massage package includes the water pump, the in-line heater, ozone sterilization and an intensity control. An air massage package includes the blower, three-speed control and the auto purge that clears the air lines after your bath. LED chromatherapy lighting is included with the jetted packages. The jet count for your tub depends on the model and the package you purchase, and the current spec sheet is the authority. A Worked Example: The Ella Standard

The Standard ships as a hydro massage configuration: 18 hydro jets with the pump and in-line heater, a push control with intensity dial, the 5-piece Ella fast-fill faucet with pull-out hand shower, and one 2-inch gravity floor drain with overflow and emergency pull-up chain. The T-type wording on the spec sheet describes the multi-port drain body under the tub, not a second drain. Optional features such as a heated seat are listed separately on your order.

The Ultimate and Other Stainless-Door Models

When the team itemizes an Ultimate with air, hydro and independent foot massage, the list runs the same way: a 21-inch wide seat, the hydro system with in-line heater, ozone sterilization and intensity control dial, the air system with three speeds and auto purge, a 360-degree swivel tray, the LED chromatherapy light, on and off push controls, the 5-piece Ella fast-fill faucet, two stainless steel grab bars in a chrome finish, 2-inch dual drains with two drain openers and one reversible end panel for a left or right corner installation. What Is Not in the Crate

  • Optional accessories such as the heated seat and backrest or a shower column with rain shower, unless they were ordered.
  • A second end panel, needed only when both short ends are open to the room.
  • PVC pipe, couplings and the supply connections your plumber runs on site.
  • Installation. Ella does not install; a local licensed plumber and electrician do that work, with free technical support from Ella by phone and video.

Common Questions

Is the faucet included or is it an extra?
On models that include a faucet, the Ella fast-fill faucet is part of the package, and you choose the 2-piece or 5-piece set when you order. The hand shower is part of the faucet set. The LayDown60 has no factory faucet and the LayDown72 offers one as an option.
Does my plumber need to buy a hardware kit?
No. The tub arrives fully assembled with its faucet, drain and controls already fitted. Your plumber only needs PVC couplings and pipe to connect the drain and water supply the way your bathroom is laid out.
Why is the shower head not listed on my order?
The hand shower is part of the fast-fill faucet set, so your order shows the faucet line rather than a separate shower accessory. If your paperwork reads 5-piece or 2-piece faucet, the hand shower is included in that set.
Does the in-line heater come with the hydro package?
Yes. The hydro massage package includes the in-line heater and ozone sterilization, and the air package includes auto purge. LED chromatherapy lighting is also included with the jetted packages. Check the spec sheet for the exact list on your model.
How many end panels come with the tub?
One. It covers the short end that is open to the room. If the tub sits against a back wall with both ends exposed you will need a second panel, which can be added to the order. In a corner or alcove one panel is enough.
