On some listings the letters HB in the model number refer to the faucet package, not to the heated seat, so a tub can carry an HB suffix and still ship without seat heating. The only safe way to confirm is to check the feature list for that exact configuration, and if the heated seat and backrest is not listed, ask your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850 for the configuration that includes it before you order.

Ella walk-in tubs are built to order, and the same base model is offered in many configurations: door side, therapy package, faucet package and comfort options such as the heated seat and backrest. Listing numbers combine those codes, and the same letters can mean different things on different listings. One listing may use HB for the faucet, while a different listing uses a separate model number to identify the version with the heated seat. Treat the suffix as a hint, never as confirmation.

What the Heated Seat and Backrest Does

The heated seat and backrest warms the surfaces you sit and lean against, so you are not sitting on cold acrylic while the tub fills and the water level rises. It is a comfort option selected when the tub is configured and built into the tub at the factory. 3. If you want the option, ask your Ella dealer or the team for the configuration that includes it; a listing that includes it names the heated seat and backrest in its feature list and often carries a different model number.
4. Confirm the therapies you want at the same time, such as hydro, air, foot massage or chromatherapy, because these are factory-built and the choices are made together.

Can It Be Added Later?

The heated seat and backrest is selected when the tub is configured, and the therapy systems are installed at the factory, so plan for them when you order.
