The serial number label is the identification label inside the removable access panel next to the door of your Ella walk-in tub. It carries the serial number, which typically starts with the letter M, along with model information and the UL listing details a building inspector asks to see. Owners also call it the tub label, the ID plate or the UL label, and a quick phone photo of it answers most questions before they are asked.

How It Works

On most models the label sits behind the magnetic access panel next to the door, on the inside of that removable panel. Pull the panel gently away from the frame from one corner; no tools are needed on a magnetic panel. On some tubs the team will point you to the large panel on the seat side of the front apron, where the labels are mounted inside. Set the panel back so the magnets catch when you are done. The serial number tells the team when the tub was made and which replacement parts are compatible with it. Many components vary from one production run to the next, so the serial is how the right part ships the first time. Every Ella walk-in tub carries a serial number label, and clearance units are listed by serial number too, for example SN M0189. What to Know as an Owner

Photograph the whole label on the day the tub is installed and keep the image with your sales receipt and warranty activation form. The serial number and model number are different things: the serial identifies your individual tub, while the model identifies the product, and the team may ask for either. Warranty parts, activation and support requests all go faster with the serial number ready.

Check the panel occasionally to make sure it is seated and the label is still legible, and do not pack insulation around the equipment in that space.
