What Proof of Purchase Do I Need for a Warranty Claim?

To open a warranty case, the team needs three things beyond the usual photos and serial number: where you purchased the tub, the purchase date, and a copy of the sales receipt. If you bought through a dealer or a retailer, the receipt comes from them, not from Ella's Bubbles. Having these ready with your serial number and photos is the fastest way to get a replacement part shipped.

Why the Receipt Matters

The lifetime parts warranty belongs to the first purchaser and is tied to the original installation address. The receipt is how the team confirms who bought the tub, when, and through which channel, and it is what the case is filed against. A copy of the sales receipt is also part of the warranty activation package, so if your tub was activated the team may already have it on file. If your tub was never registered, the team may ask for a copy of the activation form or other identifying details such as the installation address, a phone number, or another name the purchase may be under. How to register is in how to activate your warranty, and dealers can register on a customer's behalf as described in activating the warranty in your customer's name.

What to Send with a Claim

  1. Place of purchase: your Ella dealer, a retailer, or wherever you purchased, with the order number if you have it.
  2. Purchase date, as shown on the receipt.
  3. A copy of the sales receipt or invoice. Dealer customers should ask the dealer for it; retailer customers should send the complete retailer receipt showing the model.
  4. The tub's serial number, found on the label behind the access panel next to the door.
  5. The installation address, which is the location the warranty covers.
  6. Photos or a short video of the problem, plus a description of what is happening.

If the Request Comes After You Send Photos

Many customers send photos or a video of the problem first, and the team then replies asking for the place of purchase, the receipt and the tub location before a part can ship. That is a normal step, not a sign that the claim is being questioned. Sending the proof of purchase with the first message avoids that second round and gets the part on its way sooner.

Dealer and Retailer Purchases

Where you bought the tub determines who issues the receipt. A dealer invoice to you is your proof of purchase, and the team can work with the dealer directly if you no longer have a copy. For retailer orders, the retailer's complete receipt showing the order number and the model is what the team needs, and the model on that receipt is what the claim is written against. The differences between channels are explained in where you purchased matters and, for retailer support specifics, in this retailer support guide. Ella's Bubbles does not send technicians; parts ship under the warranty and a local licensed plumber or electrician performs the labor.

Common Questions

What documents do I need for a warranty claim?
The place of purchase, the purchase date and a copy of the sales receipt, along with your serial number, installation address and photos of the problem. Send them all together in one support ticket.
I bought through a dealer, so whose receipt do I send?
The dealer's invoice or receipt to you is your proof of purchase. If you no longer have it, ask the dealer for a copy; the team can also work with the dealer directly.
My tub was never registered, so can I still file a claim?
Yes, but the team will need more to identify the tub. Send the receipt, serial number, installation address, and any other name or phone number the purchase might be under, and complete the activation form when asked.
Why does the team ask for the receipt after I sent photos?
The case is filed against the proof of purchase, so the team requests it whenever it is not already on file. Including it with your first message avoids the extra step.
Does the warranty follow the tub to a new address?
No. The warranty covers the first purchaser at the original installation address and does not transfer. That is why the installation address is part of every claim.
