This page explains the labeled component diagram printed in the Ella's Bubbles Lay Down Acrylic Walk-In Tubs brochure. The diagram shows the 32"W x 72"L LayDown with the Air Massage option, and each of its eleven callouts is described here. We also point out where the brochure's family-level wording is broader than what ships with each size.

What the Brochure Diagram Shows

The LayDown brochure covers two models, the 30"W x 60"L and the 32"W x 72"L. Its one illustration is the 32x72 with air massage jets, and every callout on it is listed here as printed:

The LayDown differs from every other Ella family in three ways visible on this diagram: you bathe lying down at full length, the door is tempered glass in an aluminum frame, and there is one drain instead of dual drains. Straight side walls make stepping in and out safer than a conventional tub, and a support bar is included. For an introduction, see the LayDown tub guide.

The Single Drain and Copper Overflow

The "drain opener" and "2" drain" callouts describe a single drain made up of three parts: a drain opener cable, a copper overflow, and a 2" threaded brass drain. The LayDown60 spec sheet confirms it as a 2" brass drain with overflow. LayDown drain hardware is brass-drain hardware, not a dual-drain kit, so mention that the tub is a LayDown when you contact your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850.

The Glass Door and Safety Close Handle

The "tempered glass door" and "safety close handle" callouts are the LayDown's signature. The door is tempered glass in a brushed-finish aluminum frame and swings inward, and the safety close handle secures it. Because the mechanism differs from the latch systems on other Ella tubs, door operation and care have their own page: operating and caring for the LayDown tempered glass door.

Faucet Callouts and Which Size They Apply to

Five of the eleven callouts belong to a deck-mounted faucet: the pull-out adjustable hand mixer, the hot water switch, the spout, the diverter, and the cold water switch. The brochure's included-features list describes the Ella 5-piece or 2-piece fast-fill faucet as if it came with the whole family. That wording is broader than what ships, and the current product pages are the source of truth.

The correct picture by size is:

• The LayDown60 (30"W x 60"L) does not come with a faucet, and there is no faucet option for it. Plan on a pre-existing or new wall-mounted faucet, or another faucet you supply. The LayDown60 spec sheet states this plainly: faucet not included, a pre-existing or new wall-mounted faucet must be used.
• The LayDown72 (32"W x 72"L) comes faucet-ready. An Ella 2-piece or 5-piece deck-mount fast-fill faucet can be chosen as an option when the tub is ordered, or it can ship with no faucet so you can pair the deck with your own fixtures. No-faucet configurations carry an NF suffix in the SKU, for example LA3272NF-L or LA3272NF-R.

So the five faucet callouts describe only a 32x72 ordered with a deck faucet. Confirm the size and ordered configuration first: a LayDown60, or any SKU ending in NF, shipped without the spout, diverter, hand mixer and hot and cold switches in the picture. The deck-faucet sections of the owner's manual apply only to a LayDown72 ordered with a faucet, and the manual's barrel extension hose warning applies only to the 32x72 with the hand mixer option.

Therapy Options Listed

The diagram shows the Air option, with callouts for the air massage jets and the air jets on/off push control. The brochure lists four therapy choices: Soaking, Air, Hydro, and Microbubble, with Infusion Microbubble Therapy available. The LayDown60 spec sheet details the pictured option: a 3-speed air pump with 20 jets, an On/Off push control, and an auto-purge that activates 20 minutes after the pump is shut down. The same sheet lists hydro massage with an intensity dial control, in-line water heater and ozone sterilization, and microbubble therapy with an air pressure pump and pressure tank. The sheet does not list a hydro jet count.

The Cover Misprint to Ignore

The brochure cover's Model Options block prints the smaller tub as 30"W x 52"L. That 52" figure is a misprint. The brochure's own Models and Sizes list, the model name, the spec sheet and the current product page all agree: the LayDown 30x60 measures 30"W x 60"L x 21"H. Use the spec sheet's actual size of 60"L x 30"W x 21"H for planning and the shipping size of 63"L x 33"W x 29"H for doorway clearance. Known misprints across all families are listed in brochures and catalogs by tub family.

Optional Accessories

The brochure lists two optional accessories: a bi-fold glass shower screen and a shower arm slider. The LayDown60 spec sheet calls the screen the Glass Shower Screen and draws it installed: a 38¼" span made of 21" and 17" segments with a ¼" gap, 57" to 57½" tall over a 20¼" base depth.
