How Ella Walk-In Tubs and Their Published Documents Have Changed: A Revisions Timeline

Ella walk-in tubs have been documented in several generations of published paper: warranty editions dated May 2013, 2018 and 2019, operations sheets from 2021, full owner's manuals from 2023, spec sheets revised from 2023 through 2026, and therapy schematics with their own revision dates. Because older files stay online and printed copies stay on shelves, two documents can disagree. This page lays out the dated record so you can see which version you hold and which one governs: the current published source on ellasbubbles.com wins over older manuals and legacy sheets.

How to Read This Page

Every entry below is a date printed on or attached to a published Ella document. Where a newer document changed something, the change is called out; where no date is published, the page says so. The team confirms which text governs a specific purchase from your order date and serial number.

Warranty Editions

EditionWhere it appearsSupporting equipment termStatus
May 2013Standalone acrylic walk-in bath warrantyLimited five years on motors, pumps, fixtures, electronic controls, faucet, waste, overflow and plated finishes; shell, frame, door seal and finish limited lifetimeSuperseded
2018 textPrinted inside the owner's manuals, including the 2023 manualsLimited five years on the same equipment list; adds the one-year TCV disclaimerSuperseded
2019 textCurrent standalone warranty PDF, uploaded to the site in August 2026, and the live warranty pageLifetime Limited on shell, frame, door, door seal and finish, and Lifetime Limited on all supporting equipmentCurrent

The thermostatic control valve carries a one-year limited warranty in every edition that mentions it. The five-year equipment text in the manuals is outdated. If your printed page says five years, older manuals say five years; here is the current warranty explains what to send so the team can confirm the governing text for your order.

Operations Sheets to Full Owner's Manuals

Family owner's manuals6/15/23Ultra, stainless steel door, outward swing, Transfer, two-seat and LayDown

The 2021 sheets are operations-only; the full manuals added installation, leveling, cleaning and warranty sections. One wording to know about: the 2021 outward-swing and stainless sheets, the undated stainless and glass door sheet and the 6/15/23 family manuals print the air system's Auto Purge trigger as "after the pump has been turned on", a known misprint. The live Auto Purge page, the Transfer legacy sheet and the spec sheets give the correct behavior: about 20 minutes after you turn the air massage pump off, the Auto Purge starts automatically and runs for 120 seconds. Other differences are listed in legacy operations instructions still online.

The Monaco and Mobile sheets carry no legible printed date, and the HoistAssist sheet notes that specifications and configurations are subject to change without notice. Because sheets are revised as products change, the sheet dated closest to your order is the best match for your tub. The current sheet for each model is linked from manuals, spec sheets and drawings by model.

Therapy Schematic Revision Dates

The therapy schematics are one-page component diagrams, each with a revision date and an "Available On" or "Available With" list of models or door families.

Revision dateSchematics

10-16-23Air massage for LayDown tubs; the 2021 upload of the hydro massage diagram; Air + Hydro + Hydro Foot with digital controller

01-16-26Hydro massage; Hydro + Microbubble; Hydro + Hydro Foot; Air + Hydro + Microbubble; Air + Hydro + Hydro Foot + Heated Seat; two-seat Air + Hydro + Hydro Foot + Microbubble + Heated Seat with digital controller
01-21-26Air + Hydro + Hydro Foot + Microbubble + Heated Seat with digital controller
02-04-26 and 02-05-26Front Entry Hydro + Microbubble and Front Entry Air + Hydro
08-01-26Air + Hydro + Hydro Foot + Microbubble + Heated Seat, push control, in both of its uploads

The Air + Hydro + Hydro Foot diagram exists in two uploads with the same revision date: the 2021 upload prints "XXXL" as its last model and the 2024 upload prints "XXL". The model is the TransferXXL; there has never been an "XXXL" in the lineup. Finding the diagram for your own package is covered in therapy schematics index: which diagram is yours.

Accessory Documents

The hand shower leak elimination kit, the 5 ft extension hose with a stainless steel barrel connector that stops water dripping through the deck insert hole, has two live uploads: December 2023, titled "Leak Elimination Kit for Pull Out Hand Showers", and an identical August 2026 re-upload titled "Hand Shower Wall Attachment and Water Leak Elimination Kit". Only the title differs, and the 2026 file is the current copy.

Legacy Series Still Supported

The S-Class was an earlier Ella series sold as the 3052, the 3060 and the 3655, each in a 3 inch low-threshold and a 6 inch standard-threshold version. No publication dates are printed for the series, so this timeline does not assign it a year. Lifetime technical support applies to every Ella tub, and parts are matched by serial number. The full profile is in S-Class 3052, 3060 and 3655.

The video shows the two S-Class thresholds side by side, with the frame lowered to the floor on the 3 inch version and raised on the 6 inch version, and explains why the leveling legs are what keep the door aligned.

Which Generation Is Yours

The serial number label answers that faster than any document. It sits on the inside of a removable panel, and the serial tells the team when the tub was made and which parts fit it.

  • ☐ Photograph the serial number label and note the model name from your invoice or order confirmation
  • ☐ Check the printed date on the manual or spec sheet you hold against the tables above
  • ☐ If your warranty page says five years on equipment, note that the current text is Lifetime Limited and ask the team to confirm the governing text for your order
  • ☐ For an S-Class, note whether your threshold is 3 inch or 6 inch before requesting parts

Label locations are shown in where to find your model and serial numbers. For anything specific to your tub or your order, open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support or call your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850.

Common Questions

Which warranty text applies to my tub?
The current published warranty on ellasbubbles.com grants a Lifetime Limited Warranty on the shell, frame, door, door seal and finish and on all supporting equipment. The five-year equipment term printed in the 2013 edition and in the 2018 text inside the manuals is outdated. The team confirms which text governs a specific older purchase from your order date and serial number.
Why does my manual disagree with the spec sheet on the Auto Purge?
The 6/15/23 family manuals and the 2021 sheets carry a known misprint on the trigger. The live Auto Purge page and the spec sheets are correct: about 20 minutes after you turn the air massage pump off, the purge starts automatically, runs for 120 seconds and stops on its own. It is normal even if it starts while you are still in the tub.
What does the "XXXL" entry on the foot massage schematic mean?
It is a misprint for the TransferXXL. The 2021 upload of the Air + Hydro + Hydro Foot schematic prints "XXXL" and the 2024 upload of the same diagram prints "XXL". Both describe the identical system and both apply to the TransferXXL.
How do I know how old my tub is?
The serial number on the label inside the removable panel tells the team when the tub was made and which parts fit it. Send a photo of the label with your ticket and the team can place your tub in the right generation.
Which documents apply to an S-Class tub?
No dated manual is published for the S-Class. The stainless inward-swing door documents are the closest current match for operation and cleaning, the S-Class videos are the clearest record of its features, and the team matches parts to your serial number. Tell them whether your threshold is 3 inch or 6 inch.
