The S-Class is an earlier Ella walk-in tub series sold in three sizes: the 3052 (30 x 52), the 3060 (30 x 60), and the 3655 (36 x 55) for extra tall and large bathers. If you own an S-Class tub, the videos below are the clearest published record of its features, and support can match parts to your serial number. Lifetime technical support applies to every Ella tub, including these legacy models.

The Three Models

  • 3052 and 3060: 21 in seat, wall and deck grab bars, built-in towel rack, textured floor, chrome stainless door latch.
  • 3655: 29.5 in seat, dual 2 in drains, the same grab bars and towel rack.
  • All: acrylic surface, rust-proof stainless frame with leveling legs, easy-access service panels.

3 Inch vs 6 Inch Threshold

On the 6 inch standard-threshold version the frame is raised so the drain fits beneath the tub and jets sit on the floor. On the 3 inch low-threshold version the frame is lowered, the jets are raised off the floor, and the drains require subfloor access; the 3655 low-threshold has no floor jets for that reason. Tell support which threshold you have when planning repairs. Leveling matters on both: every leg must sit solidly on the floor or the door will not align, as explained in our leveling guide.

Packages and Parts

  • Three-speed air with Auto Purge; hydro with in-line heater and intensity dial. Air came paired with hydro; an air-only 3052 was not sold.
  • Oversized 2 in drain with safety chain (dual drains on the 3655).
  • 5-piece or 2-piece fast-fill faucet with 5 ft supply lines; components plug into a dedicated GFCI outlet, which on the 3655 our team suggests placing near the seat-area rear corner.
  • Options: 4-fold screen, heated seat and backrest, head and neck pillow, seat pillow.

Specs for S-Class part numbers such as AS3655DR5P are available from support by ticket. For operation, the stainless inward-swing door documents are the closest current match; confirm with your serial number. Where is the serial number on an S-Class?

Is the Malibu an S-Class?

What is different about the 6 inch threshold S-Class 3655?
The 6-inch threshold S-Class 3655 walk-in tub differs from the 3-inch threshold version by having a taller frame. This raised frame provides space for floor jets and allows the dual drains to be positioned above the floor. Additionally, this model features a spacious 29 1/2-inch wide seat.
Was the 3052 sold with air jets only?
No, the S-Class 3052 walk-in tub was not sold with air jets only. On the 3052 model, the air massage system was exclusively paired with the hydro massage system. An air-only version of the 3052 was not available for purchase.
Does an S-Class 3655 need two 20 amp circuits?
Most Ella tubs with an in-line heater run on one dedicated 20A 120V GFCI line, but the count depends on the package installed. Check the schematic for your unit or open a ticket with the serial number and Technical Support will confirm.

My dealer promised bidet jets and my S-Class does not have them.
Jets are integrated into the tub's shell during the manufacturing process at the factory and cannot be added after the tub has been built. If a dealer promised a feature like bidet jets that was not included in the factory order and is missing from your S-Class tub, the dealer is responsible for resolving that promise. Ella's warranty covers only what Ella's Bubbles built and shipped.
