Which Tubs It Lists

The sheet lists Transfer60, XXL and Ultimate. XXL is the TransferXXL. The 60-inch-long Transfer60 and the 36-inch-wide TransferXXL are the two largest members of the wheelchair-accessible Transfer family, and the Ultimate is the 60-inch member of the stainless-steel inward-swing door family. Digital Controller and LED Wired to the Master Control Box

On this sheet the digital controller and the LED light are both drawn wired into the master control box, the Electronic Component Controller (component 7). The in-line water heater is wired through the same box, and two outputs, Load 1 and Load 2, leave it to feed the system.

For a customer, the practical difference from the push-control version is simply where you touch to start a therapy. On a digital controller you use the touchpad, with the bubble button and the plus and minus keys to move through the air speeds; on push controls you press the Air button once for high, twice for medium, three times for low and a fourth time to turn the air off. Relay Switches on Microbubble, Heater and Foot Circuits

The diagram draws relay switches on three circuits: the microbubble circuit, the heater circuit and the foot circuit. A relay is what lets a low-power control, like the touchpad or a push button, switch a pump or heater that draws far more current. The microbubble path is drawn as water in, then the water pump, then the MicroBubbles pressure tank, then out to the jet. The seat and foot hydro pumps each have their own intensity dial.

This is useful during a service call. If one therapy is silent while the rest work, the relay and the control for that one circuit are the natural place to start, and you will find these boxes behind the removable front apron. Ella's Bubbles publishes this package twice: the push-control sheet (revision 08-01-26) and this digital-controller sheet (revision 01-21-26). Both list Transfer60, TransferXXL and Ultimate. Both have ten numbered components, two dedicated 20 amp GFCI outlets and an air pump at 110-120 V, 4.5 A. The difference is the control layer: a digital controller wired to the master box on this sheet, push buttons on the deck on the other. The heated seat and back is the same on both, electric Surface Heater Pads switched at the Heat Keypad, and separate from the in-line water heater. Common Questions

How many dedicated circuits does the digital full package need on these tubs?
Two. The schematic prints wall outlets #1 and #2, each GFCI protected, dedicated line, 20 AMP, 120 Volts, plus the air pump at 110-120 V, 4.5 A. Even with all ten components fitted, the Transfer60, TransferXXL and Ultimate run on two lines.
What is the difference between this schematic and the push-control version?
The equipment is the same: two hydro pumps, air pump, optional microbubble pump and tank, in-line heater, surface heater pads, ozone generator and LED. On this sheet a digital controller is drawn wired to the master control box; on the push-control sheet the therapies are started from buttons on the deck. Foot hydro, microbubbles and the heat keypad use physical controls on both.
Does the touchpad also control the heated seat?
No. The heated seat and back has its own Surface Key Pad, labeled Heat Keypad on the diagram, which switches the electric Surface Heater Pads on and off. The in-line water heater is a separate component that keeps the hydro water warm.
Why does the diagram show relay switches?
Relays allow the low-power controls to switch the heavier loads. The sheet draws them on the microbubble, heater and foot circuits. If exactly one of those therapies stops working, the relay and control on that circuit are the first things to look at behind the apron.
Is microbubble therapy standard on this package?
No. Component 4, Infusion Microbubbles, is an optional package with its own push control, a water pump and a pressure vessel. If your tub has no microbubble control on the deck, the option was not part of your order. The microbubble infusion therapy page explains what it adds.
How do I change air speeds on the digital controller?
Use the bubble button on the touchpad together with the plus and minus keys to step through the three speeds. On push-control tubs the sequence is one press for high, two for medium, three for low and a fourth press to turn the air massage off.
