Bidet jets on an Ella walk-in tub are air jets positioned at the base of the seat to help with personal hygiene in places that are hard to reach. Sometimes called hygiene jets or bidet air jets, they belong to the three-speed air massage system, run at whatever speed you have chosen, and have no switch of their own. They are air, not water: the air blower drives them and the Auto Purge cycle clears them after every bath.

How It Works

Ella places its air jets in three groups: upper jets in the seat and backrest, bidet jets at the base of the seat, and lower jets in the footwell floor. When you press the Air button, the blower feeds all three groups at once, so the bidet jets bubble gently at high, medium or low along with the rest. Because they are air jets, no water is sprayed or drawn from the tub; the bubbles simply rise around the base of the seat. About 20 minutes after you use the air pump, Auto Purge blows the lines dry for 120 seconds, keeping the bidet lines as clean as the rest. Which Ella Models Have It

Bidet jets come with the air massage package, so hydro-only tubs and soaking tubs do not have them, and air jets cannot be added after the tub is built. Two published counts help set expectations. Because the bidet jets have no separate control, choose the air speed that feels right overall; low speed softens every jet, including these.
