How many jets does an Ella walk-in tub have? The jet count depends on the therapy package you order, not the model alone. A Hydro package has hydro jets only, Air + Hydro adds air jets, and Soaking has none. Most single-seat tubs carry 14 to 18 hydro jets and 14 to 17 air jets, and the counts below come from the current spec sheets, listed as seat plus foot jets.

  • Elite, Petite, Ultra: hydro 16 (10 + 6); air 16 (8 + 8).
  • Royal: hydro 16 (10 + 6); air 15 (7 + 8).
  • Deluxe (fixed Air + Hydro): hydro 14 (8 + 6); air 16 (8 + 8).
  • Ultimate: hydro 11 seat plus 4 foot and 2 calf on two pumps; air 17 (9 + 8); 34 total.
  • Capri: hydro 15 (9 + 6); air 14 (8 + 6). Lounger: hydro 17 (11 seat, 4 foot, 2 calf); air 16 (8 + 8).
  • Front Entry: hydro 13 (11 seat + 2 calf); air 16 (10 + 6). Mobile: hydro 15; air 14 (product video).

Why Transfer Numbers Differ

Some website copy lists 13 hydro jets for a Transfer tub while the current spec sheet says 22; they describe different packages and counting methods. Start with the package on your order confirmation, then count on your unit: upper back and seat jets plus six foot-well jets. Our team can verify from photos. Bidet Jets

Bidet jets are air jets, two or three per tub, at the base of the seat for personal hygiene. They run with the air system and cannot be switched separately; a seat pillow riser covers them if you prefer. Ella air jets are brass, since you sit and stand on them. Positions for every family are mapped in bidet jets and where the air jets sit.

Fewer Jets?

No. Layouts are fixed per package and one-off layouts are not feasible; use the intensity dial for a milder massage or choose Soaking for none. Individual hydro jets can also be aimed, and many can be closed by rotating the face, as shown in adjusting jet pressure and the intensity dial.

Common Questions

How many jets does a Transfer tub have?
It depends on the therapy package on your order rather than the model alone. With the Hydro or Hydro plus Foot package, the current spec sheet for the Transfer30, 32, 60 and XXL lists 22 hydro jets, made up of 16 seat jets and 6 foot jets. With the Hydro plus Air package the tub has 11 hydro jets (5 back and 6 foot) plus 17 air jets (11 around the seat including 2 bidet jets, and 6 in the foot well). A Soaking tub has no jets at all.
Can jets be added to my tub later?
No. The jets and their plumbing are built into the shell at the factory, so a hydro-only tub cannot be converted to add air massage and a soaker cannot gain jets later. Choose the full therapy package you want at order time, and use the therapy combinations by model article linked above to see which packages your tub offers.
Can I order a tub with fewer jets?
No. Jet layouts are fixed for each package and one-off layouts are not feasible. If you would like a milder massage, turn the intensity dial down, aim individual hydro jets, or close many of them by rotating the face, as shown in the jet adjustment article linked above. If you prefer no jets at all, choose the Soaking configuration.
What are bidet jets and can I turn them off?
Bidet jets are two or three air jets at the base of the seat, placed for personal hygiene. They run with the rest of the air system and have no separate switch, so they cannot be turned off on their own. If you prefer not to use them, a seat pillow riser covers them, either a plain riser or one with a cutout that lets the other jets flow.
What is the difference between hydro jets and air jets?
Hydro jets push water driven by a pump and give the deeper massage, with an intensity dial to adjust the pressure. Air jets blow warm air through small brass ports for a gentler, bubbling effect and run at three speeds. Ella uses brass for the air jets because you sit and stand on them. Why does the Ultimate say 34 jets?
The Ultimate counts 11 seat hydro jets plus 4 foot and 2 calf jets on its second pump, together with 17 air jets, for 34 in total. It is the one stainless-door model with independent foot massage as standard, which is why the second pump and the calf jets are part of its base count.
Can I replace a damaged jet or jet cover?
Yes. Replacement air jets, jet faces, tubing and connectors are available through Technical Support. Open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support with a photo of the damaged jet and your model and serial number so the correct part is matched. Why does my count not match the spec sheet?
Counting methods differ, since some people count jet clusters while others count individual ports, and the foot-well jets are easy to miss. Some older website copy also lists counts from a different package than the one on your tub. Compare your count against the therapy package on your order confirmation, and if the numbers still disagree, send the team photos so they can verify from your unit.
