What the Shower Warranties Have in Common
The Shower in a Box, low-threshold gel coat and one-piece stall documents share the same structure. Ella's Bubbles will repair, or exchange at its option, a unit found defective in materials or workmanship upon inspection by an authorized representative. An exchange is limited to supplying a replacement unit of comparable size and style and does not include any cost of removal or installation. The warranty is voided if the unit is moved from its place of initial installation or is not installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, and it does not apply to accident, abuse, misuse, or damage caused by flood, fire or act of God. Because code requirements vary across the country, dealers, contractors and owners are asked to confirm any local code restrictions themselves. The AcrylX spec sheets add that, as with most warranties, the stall warranty is not transferable. Because every shower warranty above requires installation in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, this video is worth watching before the first panel goes up. It dry-assembles the modular unit before demolition to confirm the panels, drain location and fit, checks the framing pocket for square, plumb and level, installs the 2 inch no-caulk drain body, bedding the pan on silicone adhesive beads with the back support leg in contact with the subfloor, then hangs the pin-and-slot wall panels, mounts the valve with looped PEX, tests for leaks and caulks the seams and threshold. A unit installed this way stays at its place of initial installation, fully supported and sealed, which is exactly the condition the printed warranties assume.
Two Notes on Documents That Print More Than One Term
The low-threshold gel coat owner's manual carries both a three-year Limited Warranty page for fiberglass tub and shower units and, a few pages later, the thirty-year Accessible Shower in a Box warranty dated May 2013. The SMC base and pan installation sheets print one year, while the separate Shower Base Specific Warranty Coverage document gives Roll-In and Barrier-Free bases and pans and Low-Threshold Acrylic bases a 30-year limited term; that document is covered in warranty coverage for Ella shower bases. A Note on the Pet Spa and Older Texts
