Chi OAC3252 (sheets Dated 11/10)

The Chi was an outward-swing acrylic walk-in tub offered in many configurations, each with its own sheet: soaking, hydro, air, dual (air plus hydro), microbubble and heated-seat combinations, with either the Huntington Brass fast-fill faucet (HB models) or a thermostatic faucet set (TCV models). Shared body facts:

• Actual size 32 by 52 by 42 inches; shipping size 34 by 54 by 50 inches; net 220 pounds; shipping 300 pounds.
• Water capacity 90 gallons unoccupied, 55 to 75 gallons occupied.
• 7 inch step-in threshold, which could be lowered to 4 inches with a below-the-floor drain installation.
• Seat 23 inches wide, 17 inches high and 14 1/4 inches long; three front and one end access panels; extension panel for a 60 inch opening; wall and deck mounted stainless grab bar; LED chromatherapy and aromatherapy on the dual models.
• Dual model therapy: 16 air jets on a variable-speed 4.5 amp pump with auto purge, and 9 adjustable plus 4 fixed hydro jets on a 5 amp pump with a 650 watt in-line heater and intensity control, run from a digital control. Two 2 inch floor drains with two PVC drain elbows.

• Warranty as printed: lifetime limited on the acrylic shell, frame and door; 5 year parts warranty excluding the faucet; the Huntington Brass faucet set carried a 10 year limited warranty under the faucet maker's terms, and the TCV faucet set a 1 year warranty.

Malibu OA3052 (sheet Dated 11/10)

The Malibu was a hydro massage walk-in tub in left-drain (OA3052-L) and right-drain (OA3052-R) versions: actual size 29 1/2 by 52 by 43 inches, shipping size 32 by 54 by 50 inches, net 220 pounds and shipping 350 pounds, 90 gallons unoccupied and 55 to 75 occupied, a 4 inch step-in threshold, a seat 22 1/2 inches wide and 17 inches high, two front and one side access panels and a wall-mounted chrome grab bar. Its hydro system had 9 adjustable and 4 fixed jets on a 7 amp pump with a 650 watt in-line heater, ozone, a push control and an intensity control. The 5-piece brass faucet set included a thermostatic control valve, two diverters and a pull-out hand shower on a 5 foot hose. It had one 2 inch floor drain with a pull-up safety chain, a copper overflow and a cable-operated opener, on a dedicated 120 volt line with a 15 amp GFCI breaker. Printed warranty: lifetime limited on shell, frame and door, 5 years on parts. The team has described the current Capri as the successor to the Malibu's 30 by 52 outward-swing footprint.

Tramo WT5932 Wheelchair Transfer Tub (sheets Dated 04/15)

The Tramo was an earlier wheelchair-transfer tub with an outward-opening waterproof door and a textured ABS acrylic shell, offered as soaking (WT5932S), air massage (WT5932A) and nano massage (WT5932H), each with left or right door and drain. Body facts: 32 by 59 by 33 inches, shipping size 38 1/2 by 64 by 42 1/2 inches, net 196 pounds and shipping 276 pounds on the massage versions (186 and 266 on the soaking version), 50 gallons unoccupied and 30 to 40 occupied, a 17 inch door entry height, a 26 inch bathing area width, an anti-slip floor, one grab bar, a pillow headrest and a front access panel. The air version had 16 air jets on a 0.66 HP heated blower; the nano version had 42 variable massage jets with an in-line heater and chromatherapy. Plumbing used 1/2 inch NPT braided supply hoses and a 2 inch drain, on a dedicated 110 volt circuit with a 15 to 20 amp GFCI. Printed warranty: limited lifetime on the door seal gasket and 3 years on hardware and components. It was replaced by the Transfer family with the L-shape door.

Gel Coat Wheelchair-Access Line, Models 325201 to 325204 (sheets Dated 07/14)

Before the acrylic Transfer family, Ella offered a gel coat fiberglass wheelchair-access tub in four versions: 325201 soaking, 325202 air, 325203 hydro and 325204 dual massage, each left-hand or right-hand and in a white or biscuit shell. Shared facts: 32 by 52 by 41 inches, shipping size 34 1/4 by 54 by 49 inches, 100 gallons unoccupied and 65 to 85 occupied, a 7 inch threshold, a 17 inch seat height and 22 inch seat width, an anti-slip floor, a built-in grab bar, removable access panels and a wall extension kit for a 60 inch opening. Net weight ran from 180 pounds (soaking) to 215 pounds (dual). The dual version had 18 air jets on a three-speed heated pump with auto purge and 6 adjustable hydro jets with an in-line heater. The chrome 5-piece Roman faucet was installed by the customer's contractor in an undrilled deck; plumbing used two 30 inch supply lines with 3/4 inch connections and a 1 1/2 inch quick drain with overflow. Printed warranty: 25 years on the tub body, lifetime on the door seal and air jets, and 5 years on the faucet and pumps.
