The Space I Have Is 58.5 by 29 Inches. Can a Walk-In Tub Fit?

Yes. Two models are commonly suggested for a space that size: the Deluxe 30x55, which is actually 29.5 inches wide and 55 inches long with its inward stainless door, and the Lounger 27x59, an outward-door tub with a long seat. A 30 by 58 inch space points to the Deluxe as well. Because the Deluxe is half an inch wider than 29 inches, confirm the width at the tightest point once the walls are finished.

My Alcove Is Only 58 Inches Wall to Wall. Do You Have a Shorter Tub?

Plenty. The Petite (27.5 by 52 inches actual), the Deluxe (29.5 by 55) and any of the 52 inch models will drop into a 57 or 58 inch opening. The 52 inch tubs come with an extension panel made for a 60 inch alcove; in a shorter opening the panel may not be needed, and your installer decides how to finish any small gap. Do You Have a 48 Inch Walk-In Tub?

Yes. The Flow 28x48 is the shortest inward-door tub, and the Mobile 26x45 is shorter still with an outward U-shape door. Both suit small bathrooms where 48 inches is the most you can give up.

My Current Tub Is 57 Inches but Yours Are 60. What Fits?

The team's answer on a 60 inch stud-to-stud opening is that a 60 inch model such as the Ultimate, Standard60, Zen60 or Transfer60 should fit, provided the measurements are accurate. If the finished opening is 57 inches, choose a 52 or 55 inch model instead and let the extension panel or the end panel close the gap.

Do You Have Anything 36 by 60?

Not as a walk-in tub. The 36 inch wide options are the TransferXXL at 36x55, the ShaK at 36x72, the two-seat Escape at 36x72 and the Big4Two at 36x80. If width matters more than length, the TransferXXL is the closest to a 36 by 60 footprint.

My Husband Is 6 Foot 4 and 300 Pounds. Which Tub?

The Big4One 33x66 is the usual answer for bathers around 6 feet and taller, and the ShaK 36x72 is reserved for the very tallest bathers. There is no set weight limit on an Ella tub; if you fit the seat comfortably, the reinforced stainless steel frame carries you. More in is there a weight limit.

I Weigh 400 Pounds. Which Tub Has the Widest Door and Seat?

The TransferXXL has the widest single-bather seat in the line at 29 inches, and its L-shape door opens 172 degrees for a seated slide-in. Two-seat tubs are bigger overall because they are built for two people, but seat width is the number that decides comfort for one bariatric bather. For a very heavy bather the team points to the TransferXXL or another bariatric-friendly model, and measuring your hips against the seat width is the deciding step.

Do You Have a Seat Higher Than 17 Inches?

No. About 17 inches is the highest seat available, and it is the height on most outward-door, Transfer and two-seat models and on the Ultra. The stainless-door family (Elite, Petite, Royal, Deluxe and Ultimate), the Mobile and the Escape sit at about 15 inches, and the Front Entry at 16. There is no adjustable-height seat. If a 17 inch seat feels low, a seat pillow riser adds a little lift.

Will a 30 Inch Tub Fit Through a 28 Inch Door?

Not as it stands. A 30 inch wide tub needs an opening wider than 30 inches, so with a 28 inch door you are two inches short and the frame or casing would have to come off to gain them. The rule for every model is the same: the passage must be wider than the tub's actual width. The narrowest tubs are the Mobile 26x45 and Transfer26 26x52 at 26 inches, then the Lounger at 27, the Petite at 27.5 and the Flow at 28, so for a doorway in the 26 to 28 inch range those are the models to ask about. Can the Tub Be Disassembled to Get It in?

No. The tub ships fully assembled in one piece. What does come off is the front apron, the access panels and the end panel, and they should be removed before the tub is carried so the frame can be gripped.
