The Ella's Bubbles Lifetime Limited Warranty covers defects in workmanship and material under normal use and conditions, and it does not cover ordinary wear, misuse, improper maintenance or damage from improper installation. The line between the two is not always obvious from a description alone, which is why the published warranty requires photos of the affected part and a description of the problem before any decision is made. This article shares real examples of how the support team has evaluated common part requests so you know what to expect. It is a guide to the process, not a ruling on any individual case; every request is decided by the team after reviewing your photos.
Example 1: The Drain Plug Stem
The drain plug stem screws into the drain plug cap. When a stem has simply unthreaded over time and dropped down the drain, support treats that as wear and tear rather than a manufacturing defect, so it is not a warranty item. When a stem has broken off rather than unthreaded, that is reviewed as a possible defect, and the team asks for a picture of the damaged part showing exactly where it failed. The photo is what turns a description into a decision.
Example 2: A Damaged Hand Shower Hose
A sprayer hose that has split or failed is a good example of a part the team has replaced under warranty. The request was simple: a picture of the hose showing the damage, and a shipping address. Hoses are tested before they are packed. If you also need an accessory that was not part of your original order, such as a wall-mount bracket for the hand shower, mention it on the same ticket and the team will explain how it is supplied.
Example 3: A Valve That Leaks Through When It Is Off
If water continues to run from the tub filler with the hot or cold valve turned fully off, the valve is not sealing. Support asks for a picture of the valve in the Off position showing water coming from the filler, plus the installation address, and then packs up a replacement valve. You can swap just the cartridge from the new valve into the old body, or replace the valve entirely, whichever your installer prefers.
Example 4: The Door Striker Plate
When photos showed the weld on a door striker plate coming apart, the team shipped a replacement striker plate. The same review also noticed the door appeared to be sitting a little low, which may have caused or worsened the failure, so the customer was pointed to the leveling leg video. This is a helpful pattern: many door hardware issues have leveling underneath them, and correcting the legs protects the new part. The warranty on the door and door seal is valid only when the tub and door are aligned correctly and the alignment is not changed by a bather's weight on the door.
Example 5: A Cracked Glass Panel
In the team's experience, glass door panels do not crack spontaneously, so a cracked panel is reviewed carefully with photos of the break and its surroundings before any decision. Replacement panels are available, and in the cases we have seen the panel was supplied outside the warranty. The team will explain on your ticket how yours would be supplied.
Example 6: The Thermostatic Control Valve
The TCV carries a one-year limited warranty that expressly excludes cartridge malfunction caused by contaminated water with calcium, iron or other heavy particles, which leaves the cartridge stuck and the valve not mixing. A TCV must be protected with a filter or mesh in the water lines, cleaned periodically. Ella's Bubbles offers a cartridge cleaning service, and removal or cleaning should only be performed by a licensed and insured contractor or plumber.
Example 7: A Pump That Ran Dry
Operating the hydro or air pump before the water is above all of the jets causes permanent damage, and that damage is not covered. Always fill past the waterline, with every jet covered, before switching a pump on.
What Every Example Has in Common
- A photo of the part, showing the failure point, is requested every time.
- Normal use is the standard. Negligence, abuse, misuse, misapplication, alteration, modification, chemical corrosion, improper maintenance and improper installation are excluded by the published warranty.
- The warranty supplies the part. Labor, removal and replacement costs, and water damage to the home are not covered.
- The team decides, not the article. A similar-sounding problem can have a different outcome once the photos are in.
Common Questions
A drain stem unthreaded and fell in, is that covered? An unthreaded stem is treated as wear. A stem that broke off is reviewed with a photo of where it failed.
A hose or handle broke, is that covered? Send a photo showing the damage. Damaged hoses have been replaced under warranty after review.
A valve leaks through when off, is that covered? Send a picture of the valve in the Off position with water running, and the team will review and, on approval, pack a replacement valve.
The striker weld failed, is that covered? A failed weld shown in photos has been replaced. Check your leveling legs at the same time.
Is a cracked glass panel covered? Photos first. Glass does not crack on its own in the team's experience, so the review depends on what the pictures show. Replacement panels are available either way.
Is a fouled TCV covered? No. Cartridge fouling from hard water is excluded, and the TCV term is one year.
