Yes. When the wall panels on your shower order are temporarily out of stock, the base can ship on its own so your contractor can set it, and the wall panels follow once they are back in stock. Ask for a split shipment through your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850, or open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support, and the team will arrange it for your order.
How a Split Shipment Works
Shower bases and wall kits are separate items on your order, so they do not have to travel together. When the walls are back-ordered, the team can release the base right away and hold the walls until they restock. In some cases the walls can be sent from a second Ella warehouse when that gets them to you sooner. The team confirms which option fits your order before anything is scheduled.
Restock timing changes, so this article does not quote a date. The team checks current timing for your specific order when you ask.
What to Ask for
- Confirm which items on your order are in stock and which are waiting on a restock.
- Ask for the base to ship now and the wall panels to ship when they arrive.
- If you need the walls on a separate invoice for your project records, say so when you request the split so the order can be set up that way.
- Ask for the technical and installation documents for the wall kit so your contractor can review them while the walls are on their way.
- Watch for a separate tracking email for each shipment. Tracking is sent by email once each item leaves the warehouse.
Receiving Two Shipments
Treat each delivery as its own freight shipment. Inspect the base when it arrives and inspect the wall panels when they arrive, checking for both visible damage and concealed damage before your contractor installs anything. Freight damage claims must be filed within 48 hours of receiving that shipment, so keep all packaging material until you have looked everything over. Photos of the crate, the packaging and any damaged area help the claim move quickly.
When the panels come, check that the wall kit and base sizes match what was ordered. The way bases, walls and filler pieces fit together is covered in shower bases, walls and filler pieces.
Planning the Wall Installation
Your contractor can review the wall kit documents and prepare the walls while the panels are in transit. If you are unsure which wall style you ordered, the finish of the panel edges is described in how shower wall edges are finished, and the surface pattern is explained in whether Ella shower walls come smooth or with the molded tile pattern.
