The Ella Royal 32x52 is the widest walk-in tub in our stainless-steel inward-swing door family and the only one offered with the triple Hydro + Air + Microbubble package. The spec sheet lists an actual size of 31.5 inches wide by 52 inches long by 35 inches high, a 23 inch seat (the widest in the stainless family), and 100 gallons unoccupied (45 to 65 occupied).

Size and Fit

  • Actual 31.5 x 52 x 35 in; crate 36 x 57 x 46 in; net 230 lb, shipping 320 lb.
  • Seat 23 in on the spec sheet (the manual and video say 24 in), about 13 in long, with a soaking depth of about 14 in to the overflow.
  • The 7 in extension panel and reversible end panel are included, so it fills a 60 in alcove. At 35 in high it is one of our lowest tubs.
  • Doorways must be wider than 31.5 in; the crate is 36 in wide. Use our doorway measurement guide.

Our team positions the Royal for larger bathers who are not tall: it gives hip room on a 52 inch footprint. Bathers who need length as well should look at the Deluxe or Ultimate; see weight limits and bariatric options.

Packages and Jets

Six configurations: Hydro + Air + Microbubble, Air + Hydro, Hydro + Independent Foot (two pumps), Hydro + Microbubble, Hydro, and Soaking. LED chromatherapy (0.5A) comes with dual and triple packages. See therapy combinations by model for how the Royal compares.

  • Hydro: 16 jets (10 seat, 6 foot), 5 to 7A pump, ozone, in-line heater 6A 650W.
  • Air: 15 jets (7 seat, 8 foot) per the current spec sheet; the older video quotes 16. 4.5A 500W pump with Auto Purge.
  • Microbubble 1 HP 7.3A. Optional heated seat and backrest; a digital controller is also listed as optional.

  • Removable stainless door, deck and wall grab bars, 360 degree swivel tray, textured floor, dual 2 in 4-port drains.
  • 5-piece fast-fill faucet (up to 18 GPM); a 2-piece set in chrome or brushed nickel is also offered. Only the faucet changes finish.

The Royal walk-in tub, with its inward-swing door, and the Transfer32, with its outward L-door, are the two 52-inch walk-in tub options that offer a wide seat. The Royal's spec sheet lists a 23-inch seat, while its manual states 24 inches. This makes the Royal a good choice for larger bathers who need hip room.
Is the Royal available with a white door?

How much water does the Royal hold?
The Ella Royal walk-in tub holds 100 gallons of water when unoccupied. With a bather inside, the water capacity ranges from 45 to 65 gallons, according to the spec sheet.
