This page explains three closely related Ella's Bubbles schematics: the Air + Hydro Therapeutic Massage Component Diagram With Digital Controller (air-hydro-digital.pdf), the Air + Hydro Therapeutic Massage + Heated Seat & Back Component Diagram With Digital Controller (air-hydro-digital-heat.pdf), and the push-control Air + Hydro Therapeutic Massage + Heated Seat & Back Component Diagram (air-hydro-heat.pdf). The two digital diagrams carry a revision date of 01-16-26 and list "Available With: Ella Lounger, Stainless Steel, Outward Door." The push-control heated diagram carries a revision date of 10-16-23 and prints no model list. We also draw on the Ella Lounger spec sheet, which explains why that model is named on the digital versions.

Three Diagrams, One Core System

All three drawings describe the same dual jetting package: an air massage blower, a hydro massage pump with an in-line water heater, an ozone generator feeding the hydro loop, and an LED chromatherapy light. What changes from one diagram to the next is how the bather turns things on and whether a heated seat and backrest is part of the tub. Reading them side by side is the easiest way to understand what your installer will find behind the apron and what the controls on your deck actually do.

Variant a: Air + Hydro with Digital Controller

The first diagram replaces the individual deck push buttons with a single Digital Controller. Its legend reads as follows.

Even with a digital controller, the Air Flow Hydro Massage Intensity Dial Control still appears on the deck. The dial is an air control on an air hose, not an electrical control, so it stays mechanical regardless of which controller family you have. The control box still shows Load 1 and Load 2 for the hydro pump and air pump, with a Relay Switch drawn on the heater loop. Variant B: Air + Hydro + Heated Seat & Back with Digital Controller (master Box)

The second diagram adds two components and renames the controller. Items 1 through 6 match Variant A, except that item 3, the Electronic Component Controller, is now printed as a Master Box rather than a Control Box. The additions are:

On the drawing, the Surface Heater Pads are shown near the Digital Controller and connect to the Master Box. The Surface Key Pad is a dedicated ON/OFF push button for the heat, so on this variant you use the digital controller for air, hydro, and LED, and a separate button for the heated surface. The heated seat and backrest is an electric surface heater, completely separate from the in-line water heater in the hydro loop. Variant C: Air + Hydro + Heated Seat & Back with Push Controls

The third diagram is the push-control version of the heated package. Its legend numbers the same eight components, but items 1 and 2 print ON/OFF Push Button instead of ON/OFF Digital Controller, and the deck shows three push controls labeled Hydro Massage, LED Light, and Air Massage plus the intensity dial. The heat has its own Heat Keypad wired to the Master Box, and item 8, Surface Key Pad, is again an ON/OFF Push Button. This drawing prints a revision date of 10-16-23 and does not list which models it is available with. If your tub has push controls and a heated seat, it still describes your configuration; for the model list and any detail that differs between the drawings, the two newer digital diagrams are the current reference.

Why the Lounger Is Named on the Digital Diagrams

The Ella Lounger spec sheet lists its jetting options with the controller type printed next to each one. Air + Hydro is printed as "Digital Controller only, LED Chromatherapy Light Included." Hydro + Hydro Independent Foot Massage, Hydro Massage + Microbubble, and Hydro Massage are each printed as "Push Button only." Because the Lounger's Air + Hydro package always comes with the digital controller, the Lounger appears in the "Available With" list on both digital diagrams, alongside the Stainless Steel and Outward Door families where the digital controller is an option. Electrical Printed on Each

All three diagrams print the same wall outlet requirement: GFCI Protected, Dedicated Line, 20 AMP, 120 Volts. Every powered component is marked Electrical 110V, and the Air Pump is rated 110-120 V, 4.5 A on each drawing. The heater pads are shown fed through the Master Box; no second outlet is drawn for any of these three configurations. Each page carries the disclaimer "Please View Specifications for Electrical Amperage (A), Voltage (V) and Wattage (W)," so use your model's spec sheet for pump and heater amperage. When you or your installer are checking connections behind the apron, cords, control boxes and connections after install shows what plugs where.
