The Ella Petite is the narrowest tub in Ella's stainless-steel door family, sold as 28 x 52 nominal with an actual size of 27.5 inches wide by 52 inches long by 35 inches high and a 19 inch seat. It has an inward-swinging brushed stainless steel door with frosted tempered glass, two 2 inch drains, and a choice of soaking, hydro massage, air massage or microbubble packages. Its exact footprint alongside every other model is in Walk-in tub dimensions by model: exterior sizes, seat widths, and door types.

Size, Weight and Capacity

  • Actual size: 27.5 inches wide, 52 inches long, 35 inches high. The 28 inch figure is the nominal marketing size, and a 27 inch figure printed in one older manual table is a misprint.
  • Seat width: 19 inches.
  • Water: 65 gallons unoccupied, 30 to 50 gallons occupied.
  • Net weight 200 pounds, shipping weight 305 pounds, in a 31 by 57 by 47 inch shipping size.

The Petite includes one reversible end panel and one 7 inch extension panel, so it still finishes a standard 60 inch alcove. Getting it into the room is usually the harder part: a 30 inch doorway is no problem, while a 28 inch opening leaves very little margin. The 19 inch seat suits average widths, and bathers over about 5 ft 10 may find legroom tighter than in longer models. Door, Shell and Drains

The shell is gloss white acrylic reinforced with fiberglass gelcoat, on a stainless steel frame with adjustable leveling legs. The brushed stainless steel door with frosted tempered glass swings inward, so no clear floor is needed in front of the tub, and it is removable for cleaning. The tub has a removable front apron with two access panels and one stainless steel chrome deck-mount grab bar. Draining uses Ella's dual drain layout: two 2 inch four-port drains with end caps, two overflows and two stainless steel operated openers with extended chrome handles. Therapy Packages and Electrical

  • Hydro massage: 16 jets, 10 in the seat and 6 in the foot well, a 5 to 7 amp pump, an intensity dial, ozone sterilization, an on/off push control and a 5.5 amp 650 watt in-line water heater.
  • Hydro massage plus independent hydro foot massage: two 5 to 7 amp pumps and two intensity dials on the same 16 jets, so the foot massage runs on its own pump.
  • Air massage: 16 jets, 8 seat and 8 foot, from a 4.5 amp 500 watt three-speed pump with auto purge that activates 20 minutes after the pump is turned off.
  • Microbubble therapy: a 1 HP 7.3 amp pump with pressure vessel, agitator valve and push control.
  • Soaking, with no jets.

The 0.5 amp LED chromatherapy light with push control is included with the dual packages, Hydro plus Air, Hydro plus Microbubble and Hydro plus Hydro foot massage, and is not included with the hydro-only package. A heated seat and backrest and a digital controller are optional. The tub needs dedicated GFCI-protected 110/120 volt line(s). Faucet

The five-piece fast-fill faucet is rated up to 18 GPM at 60 PSI, with two 5 foot 3/4 inch supply lines and a pull-out chrome hand shower on a 5 foot retractable stainless braided hose. The two-piece single lever fast-fill set is designed for a 16 GPM fill rate with a hand shower limited to 1.9 GPM. As the video explains, the tub is drilled for the faucet you select when the order is placed, so choose the faucet with your Ella dealer or the team before the tub is built.

Does the Petite fit a standard 60 inch alcove?
Yes. The Petite ships with a 7 inch extension panel that fills the gap at one end of a 60 inch alcove, along with one reversible end panel. Measure the doorway and path into the room as well, since a 28 inch opening leaves very little margin.
How much water does the Ella Petite hold?
The Petite holds 65 gallons unoccupied and 30 to 50 gallons when occupied, depending on the size of the bather. It empties through two 2 inch four-port drains with two overflows.
Which way does the Petite door swing?
