How Do I Get a Replacement Heated Seat or Back Pad for My Walk-In Tub?

A replacement heated seat pad or back pad is available through Ella's Bubbles support. Open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support or call (800) 480-6850 with your model and serial number, tell the team which pad has stopped warming, and confirm where it should ship. The team confirms your tub model, ships the pad by parcel carrier, and emails you the tracking number. Your installer or a local licensed electrician then fits the new pad.

Which Pad Do You Need?

Tubs with the heated seat and back option carry two surface heater pads, one under the seat and one behind the backrest, both wired to the heater control box under the tub. Two-seat models such as the Tub4Two have a pad for each seat, so one side can go cold while the other still warms. When you contact support, say whether it is the seat pad or the back pad, and on a two-seat tub say which side. The heated seat schematic explanation shows how the pads, keypad and control box connect.

Confirm It Is the Pad Before Ordering

  1. Check the control box LED and the button prongs first, using Heated Seat and Back Not Warming Up. A box that is not receiving power or a loose button plug makes both pads go cold at once, and that is a wiring fix rather than a pad.
  2. If only one pad fails to warm while the other works, the failed pad is the likely fault.
  3. Some parts of the seat surface feel less warm than others because reinforcement added under the seat thickens the shell there. That is normal and does not mean the pad has failed.

How to Request the Pad

  1. Open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support or call (800) 480-6850. The serial label is behind the magnetic access panel next to the door.
  2. State your model. The team confirms the model before pulling the part, and giving it up front avoids a follow-up question.
  3. Say which pad you need: seat or back, and the side on a two-seat tub.
  4. Confirm the shipping address. The pad can go to the tub's address or directly to the installer who will do the work, which is common when a dealer or contractor manages the repair.
  5. Watch for the tracking number. Once the pad arrives, follow How Do I Install the Heated Seat and Back Pads for the installation steps, or hand that guide to your installer.

Warranty, Labor and Support

Heater pads are supporting equipment under the lifetime parts warranty for the original purchaser at the original installation address, so a verified pad ships under the warranty. Ella's Bubbles does not send technicians. A local installer or licensed electrician does the labor, which is not covered, and Ella technical support is available to them by phone or video. What to expect after a part is approved, including where it ships and what to keep, is covered in What Happens After a Warranty Part Is Approved.

Common Questions

Why does support ask for my tub model first?
The team confirms the tub model before pulling a heater pad so the correct part ships the first time. Giving the model and serial number in your first message lets the pad ship without a follow-up question.
Can the replacement pad ship to my installer instead of me?
Yes. Give the installer's address in your ticket and the pad ships there, which is common when a dealer or contractor is handling the repair. You still receive the tracking number so you can coordinate the service visit.
Only one side of my two-seat tub warms up, so what do I need?
Each seat on a two-seat tub has its own heater pad, so one side going cold usually means that side's pad has failed. Tell support which side is cold, and after confirming the model the team ships that seat pad.
Who installs the new heated seat pad?
Your installer or a local licensed electrician installs it. Ella's Bubbles does not perform repairs, but the installation guide is published and technical support is available by phone or video to answer wiring questions.
Is the replacement heated seat pad covered by warranty?
Heater pads are supporting equipment under the lifetime parts warranty for the original purchaser. Once the failure is verified, the pad ships under the warranty; labor to install it is not covered and is arranged locally.
