My Tub Is a Different Brand. Will Ella's Bubbles Parts Fit?

If your tub is a different brand, Ella's Bubbles parts will not fit it, and the honest answer to "this isn't an Ella tub, can you help" is that your manufacturer is the right place to go. Ella supplies parts only for Ella walk-in tubs. Seals, hoses, jets, pumps and manuals differ between makers, so a Safe Step door seal, an American Standard shower hose, an Aston or Jacuzzi walk-in gasket, Premier Care air jets or a Meditub pump manual all come from those companies. The first thing to do, if you are not certain what you own, is to pull the removable panel next to the door and look for the serial label, because that label settles the brand in one photo.

Likely Causes

  • Walk-in tubs from different makers look alike, so an owner assumes the parts are interchangeable.
  • A tub was bought used or inherited with no paperwork, and the brand was never known.
  • A retailer shower kit carries an Ella QR sticker, but the product is another maker's. A Loudon 3-piece alcove kit is one example; the retailer's documentation applies.
  • A non-Ella faucet was fitted to an Ella tub. The tub is supported; that faucet is covered by its maker.

What to Check, in Order

  1. Pull the access panel beside the door away from the frame and photograph the label inside. An Ella serial usually begins with M. Where to find your model and serial numbers shows the spot.
  2. Look at the door. An inward brushed stainless door with frosted glass, an outward white U-shape door with three latches, an L-shape outward door with the handle on the front, an inward acrylic S-shape door, an inward brushed aluminum door, or a glass door on a low LayDown tub all point to an Ella family. Our guide to identifying an Ella tub goes through each one.
  3. Look at the faucet and deck controls: a 2-piece single lever, a 5-piece set with red and blue handles, or the thermostatic set on a chrome deck plate.
  4. If the door matches none of these and there is no M serial label, the tub is most likely not an Ella, and its manufacturer or a local plumbing supplier is the right source for seals, latches and valves.
  5. If the product came through a retailer and you are unsure whether the listing was genuine Ella product, see support for retailer-purchased tubs and showers; the team can confirm from the listing or the model number on the box.

When to Open a Ticket

If you still cannot tell, contact your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850, or open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support, with one photo of the outside of the tub showing the door and faucet and one photo of the label behind the panel. The team confirms the brand and, for an Ella tub, matches the part. For another maker's tub the team says so plainly and points you to that manufacturer.

The video shows the five Ella door styles side by side, including the three-latch gear-and-shaft lock on the outward doors and the removable brushed stainless and aluminum inward doors, which are the quickest way to tell an Ella from another brand.

Common Questions

Will an Ella door seal or gasket fit my Safe Step, Aston or Jacuzzi walk-in tub?
No. Door seals are cut for a specific door family, and another brand's door is a different shape and mounting. Contact that manufacturer for the correct gasket.
Can I use an Ella hand shower hose on an American Standard tub?
Ella hoses are matched to the Ella 2-piece and 5-piece faucet sets and thread on at both ends, so fit on another maker's faucet cannot be guaranteed. Your faucet maker or a plumbing supplier can match a standard hose.
The QR code on my shower says Ella but the shower is a Loudon kit. Where are the instructions?
A retailer product can carry an Ella sticker or link without being an Ella product. Use the retailer's documentation for that kit, or ask the retailer for the installation guide.
Do you have the manual for my Meditub pump?
No. Ella's Bubbles does not have manuals or parts for other manufacturers' pumps. Meditub, or the maker of your tub, is the right contact for that document.
Will the Ella 4-fold screen or shower column fit my non-Ella tub?
Those accessories are designed and tested on Ella tubs and Ella deck faucets, so fit on another brand cannot be guaranteed.
