The Ella Elite walk-in tub is the most popular stainless-steel-door model in the line: actual size 30 inches wide by 52 inches long by 35 inches high, a 22 inch seat, 75 gallons unoccupied (35 to 55 gallons with a bather), and a choice of soaking, hydro, hydro plus air, hydro plus independent foot massage or hydro plus microbubble packages. A 7 inch extension panel is included so it fits a standard 60 inch alcove as well as a 52 inch space.

Size and Fit

  • Actual size 30 x 52 x 35 in. Please plan around 30 in for the width; the narrower figure quoted in older measuring videos is superseded by the current spec sheet.
  • Seat 22 in wide and about 14 in long, with roughly 42 in of interior soaking length (product video).
  • Shipping crate 32 x 54 x 50 in; net 205 lb, shipping 230 lb.
  • Doorways must be wider than 30 in. If clearance is tight, ask the team before ordering, and use the doorway measurement guide to check every hallway and turn. The team suggests the Elite, Petite, or Mobile for mobile homes when the doorway allows.

Packages and Jets

Order the Elite as Air + Hydro, Hydro + Independent Hydro Foot Massage (two pumps), Hydro + Microbubble, Hydro only, or Soaking. LED chromatherapy (0.5A) comes with any dual package. The compact frame carries two systems, so it is not offered with three or four therapies together; the therapy combinations guide shows which larger models can.

  • Hydro: 16 jets (10 seat, 6 foot), 5 to 7A pump, intensity dial, ozone sterilization, and an in-line heater (5.5A, 650W) that maintains temperature while the pump runs.
  • Air: 16 jets (8 seat, 8 foot), 6.4A three-speed pump. Auto Purge runs for 120 seconds about 20 minutes after the air pump is turned off.
  • Microbubble: 1 HP, 7.3A pump. Optional heated seat and backrest and a digital controller.

Faucet, Drains, Electrical

  • 5-piece fast-fill faucet (up to 18 GPM) is the published standard; the 2-piece set is also offered. Both include two 3/4 in by 5 ft supply lines and a 1.9 GPM hand shower; shut-off valves are not included. See 2-piece vs 5-piece faucets.
  • Dual 2 in 4-port drains with two overflows and two cable openers.
  • Dedicated GFCI 110/120V line(s): one 20A line for Hydro or Air + Hydro, two for Hydro + Micro, Hydro + Foot, or a heated seat. Your electrician confirms the count against the schematic for your package; the electrical requirements guide has the full table.

Elite Versus Its Siblings

Within the stainless inward-door family the Petite is narrower with a 19 inch seat, the Royal is wider with a 23 inch seat and the only triple package, the Deluxe adds legroom at 55 inches, and the Ultimate fills 60 inches with independent foot massage standard. Will a 5 ft 10, 230 lb bather fit?
Yes, a 5 ft 10, 230 lb bather will fit in the Ella Elite walk-in tub. The team confirmed that the 22-inch wide seat is suitable for that size. If you are broader, you should measure your hips and shoulders against the seat drawing to ensure a comfortable fit.
Can I add air jets later?
No, you cannot add air jets to the Ella Elite walk-in tub later. Therapy systems, such as air jets, are built into the tub's shell at the factory. Therefore, you must choose your desired therapy package, like the Air + Hydro option, when you initially order the tub.
Does the Elite fit through a 30 inch doorway?
The current spec sheet lists an actual width of 30 inches, so the opening must be wider than 30 inches. Removing the side panels and lifting the door off its hinges helps, and the team can review tight clearances before you order.
Which packages can I choose?

The compact frame of the Elite model is designed to carry a maximum of two therapy systems. If you are looking for a tub with three or more therapies, you should consider larger models like the Ella Royal, Ultimate, or other outward-door and Transfer models.
How does it fill a 60 inch alcove?
The Ella Elite walk-in tub fills a standard 60-inch alcove by using the included 7-inch extension panel. This extension panel can be trimmed on site to fit your specific space. The tub also comes with a reversible end panel to complete the installation.
Does the in-line heater warm the bath?
The in-line heater in the Ella Elite walk-in tub maintains the temperature of the water you filled the tub with while the hydro pump runs. It does not heat cold water to a desired temperature. For optimal performance, you should fill the tub from a properly sized water heater.
Is there a seat cushion or riser for the Elite?
Yes, there is a seat cushion or riser available for the Ella Elite walk-in tub. The seat pillow riser and seat cushions are designed to fit the Elite model.
