Tub Colors and Hardware Finishes: White Only, Chrome Trim, and Faucet Upgrades

Updated September 2026

Walk-in tub colors and hardware finishes at Ella's Bubbles are simple to summarize: every current Ella walk-in tub, LayDown tub, shower base and shower kit is white, the trim and fittings are chrome, and the faucet set is the one item you can order in another finish. Biscuit, bone, linen, almond and off-white are not offered as regular colors; the only off-white units mentioned recently were leftover clearance Transfer30 tubs. If you are planning a bathroom around brushed nickel or matte black, this article explains what can match and what stays chrome.

Tub Color

  • The shell is a solid gloss white acrylic sheet, so the color runs through the material rather than sitting in a sprayed surface layer.
  • No color samples exist because there is one color; clearance listings occasionally note an off-white tub.
  • Shower bases, custom-size bases and wall kits with a solid finish are white only.

Hardware Finishes

  • Faucet: chrome standard; brushed nickel on the 2-piece set; a partner-brand Huntington Brass set in satin nickel or antique bronze on request; the waterfall wall faucet in chrome, brushed nickel, or matte black as availability allows. Black and gold have been offered on some faucet sets at times, so other finishes are handled case by case: ask your Ella dealer or the team before ordering.
  • Chrome only: grab bars, door handle and trim, drain openers and covers, jet trim, push buttons, towel bar, and the 4-fold screen frame (chrome ionized aluminum).
  • Oil-rubbed bronze or polished brass is not made for jets or grab bars.

Matching Your Bathroom

Because the trim stays chrome, most customers keep chrome on the faucet for a uniform look. For a brushed nickel room, choose the brushed nickel faucet and accept chrome elsewhere, or supply your own faucet in the standard drilling pattern; a tub without deck holes can be requested at order time as a special order. The differences between the deck-mounted sets are in fast-fill faucets, 2-piece versus 5-piece, and the rules for using a faucet of your own are in ordering without a faucet and using your own. The wall-mounted waterfall faucet, which suits tubs with no deck holes, is described in the waterfall wall-mount faucet.

Slight Tone Variation

The warranty page notes that the white acrylic tone may vary, so a new tub can read a touch brighter or warmer than an older fixture or white tile. That is normal, not a defect. A pink or orange film that wipes away is a different matter, usually residue from standing water; both are explained in my tub looks pink, yellow or stained. The finish warranty excludes fading, cracking, delaminating, or blistering from excessive wear, sun, or scouring, so use the products listed in approved cleaners and chemicals to avoid.

Adding Color Around the Tub

The tub stays white, but the walls do not have to. Ella's acrylic 3-panel kits come in solid white, CNC engraved patterns and printed marble and stone looks, the grout-free tongue-and-groove tiles come in several marble finishes, and wall liners are printed in white, almond, breccia and travertine. Sizes and finishes are listed in wall kit sizes at a glance.

What the Videos Show

The waterfall faucet video is the clearest look at Ella's finish choices on one fixture: the wall-mounted waterfall faucet with its four-setting hand shower on an adjustable column is shown in chrome, brushed nickel and matte black, filling a white tub.

This features tour of the inward-swing family shows how the standard finishes read together on a white tub: the brushed stainless door with frosted tempered glass, chrome grab bars, drains and controls, and the choice of the 5-piece faucet or the 2-piece faucet in chrome or brushed nickel.

Common Questions

What colors do the tubs come in? Do you offer biscuit or off-white?
White only. The off-white finish once offered on a few models has been discontinued, apart from occasional clearance units, and there is no biscuit, bone, linen or almond option.
Can I get brushed nickel, black or bronze fixtures instead of chrome?
The faucet set is the one item offered in alternate finishes: brushed nickel on the 2-piece set, satin nickel or antique bronze on the partner-brand set on request, and chrome, brushed nickel or matte black on the waterfall wall faucet as availability allows. Grab bars, door trim, drains, jet trim, buttons and the screen frame are chrome only, and oil-rubbed bronze or brass is not offered for them.
My tub came with chrome. Can I swap the faucet for brushed nickel later?
Yes. The faucet set can be replaced with the matching Ella model in the other finish, since the deck holes are the same; open a ticket with your model and the team will confirm what is current.
Can I refinish or paint the tub another color?
Refinishing and painting are modifications outside the warranty, and their effect on the acrylic has not been verified, so keep the factory gloss and add color with wall panels or tile instead.
Is tinted glass available for the door?
No. Stainless and aluminum doors carry frosted tempered glass, and the U-shape door a tempered panel in a white composite frame.
Black tub or black hardware?
Tubs are white only, and Ella does not supply black hardware on the tub itself. The exception is the waterfall wall faucet, which is offered in matte black as availability allows.
Can I see a color sample first?
There is no sample program for the tub because there is a single gloss white. If you would like to see the finish before deciding, ask the team about seeing a tub in person or on a live video tour.
My new tub looks slightly pink or warmer than my tile. Is that a defect?
A subtle warmth under bathroom lighting is within the normal tone variation of white acrylic. If the difference is obvious in daylight, open a ticket with photos taken in natural light and Technical Support will review it with you.
