Yes. Every Ella walk-in tub ships with one reversible end panel, and a second end panel is available on its own: it appears as its own line on your order if you add it before the tub ships, and it can be purchased separately later through your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850. What Comes With Your Walk-In Tub Order: Faucet, End Panel, Grab Bars, Drains and What Your Plumber Supplies lists what is in the crate by default. Because panels are cut for a specific model and end, the order needs your model, your door side and which end of the tub is exposed.
What Your Tub Already Includes
The video on this page walks through the panel set that comes with every tub. One reversible end panel is included, and it can be placed on either side. If the tub sits in the right corner of the bathroom, the panel is installed on the opposite left end to cover the plumbing and the frame, and it is reversed if the tub sits in the left corner. Any Ella walk-in tub shorter than 60 inches also comes with an extension panel, so the tub fits a standard 60 inch alcove, and the extension can go on the right or the left of the tub. If you do not need the extra end panel or the extension panel, you can opt out of receiving one or the other to reduce plastic waste.
The front of the tub carries a removable apron, typically with two easily removable panels for service access to the plumbing and other components. How the apron attaches, with clips, screws, velcro tape or even magnets, varies by model. On the Standard and Zen platform the two front access panels are held with screws under white screw caps, which Where Do I Get the White Screw Caps and Trim for the Front Panel? covers.
The largest single-seat tub is a slightly different case. The Ella ShaK 36x72 has no extension panel, but it includes the reversible end panel and a wall grab bar, extra end panels can be added, and its long back side sits against a wall.
When a Second End Panel Is Needed
The included panel covers one short end. The second end panel is for a tub installed against the back wall with both ends open, where the other end would otherwise show the frame and the plumbing. That is the case the panel guidance describes directly: the tub is installed with both ends exposed, so a second end panel is needed to finish the second side. Like the heated seat and backrest and the shower column, a second end panel is optional and appears as its own line on your order rather than being bundled into the tub.
If your bathroom layout already shows both ends open when you place the tub order, add the second panel then so it ships with the tub. If the need only becomes clear once the tub is in the room, the panel can still be ordered afterward.
How to Order One on Its Own
- Note your model and the door side. Panels are cut for a specific model and end, so these two details decide which panel ships.
- Find the serial number on the label inside the panel by the door and have your order details ready.
- Photograph the exposed end of the tub so the team can see what the panel has to cover.
- Contact your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850, or open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support, and ask for the end panel for that model and end.
Extension panels are ordered the same way, and the team also asks which side of the tub the extension goes on.
The Hardware the Panel Hangs on
An end panel does not mount with glue. The mounting blocks are bonded to the tub shell, the clips attach to them, and the panel hangs on the clips and is secured with a few screws. The panel always stays removable so a plumber can reach the pump, drain and connections. If the blocks or clips for the second end are missing, broken or never arrived, Ella ships replacements by FedEx or UPS with tracking, and on a registered tub within the parts warranty the hardware ships at no charge once support verifies the request, as Missing or Broken End Panel Clips and Mounting Blocks: How to Get Replacements explains. Photograph the edge of the panel and the side of the tub where it attaches, include your model and serial number, and say which panel is affected and how many pieces you need. On a brand new tub the brackets are often turned sideways for shipping and only look wrong, so check that before reporting them missing.
Extension panels attach with their own mounting arms rather than the end panel clips, and a replacement extension panel ships with new arms. A mounting block that has separated from the shell can be re-bonded with epoxy: clean both surfaces, position the block on the old adhesive mark, and let the epoxy cure fully before hanging the panel on it. Only the block is glued, never the panel.
Before the Tub Goes into the Room
All removable panels, including the front apron with its access panels, the end panel and any extension panel, must be removed before the walk-in tub is moved into the house and into the bathroom. A second end panel ordered ahead of installation is therefore kept aside with the other panels and hung once the tub is in position, the same way the included panel goes on.
