L walk-in tubs with a three-speed air massage also have the auto Purge function to begin push gently once for high speed a second gentle push gives you a medium speed a third touch gives you a low speed finally a fourth touch shuts the system off at this point be advised when all pumps are turned off auto Purge will then turn on automatically in 15 minutes and run for 2 minutes after the air pumps are turned off in your tub some water naturally flows back into the piping system which if left there would create mildew or bacteria after 15 minutes from pump shut off auto Purge will turn on and run for 2 minutes blowing air through the system drying out the lines this will happen even if you're still bathing in your tub no cause for concern or alarm if this happens just let Auto Purge run its course and it will shut off after 2 minutes remember you can always exit your tub normally after draining even if the auto Purge is functioning the tub will sound like it's still running but it's only the auto Purge doing its job and keep in mind it's not necessary to push the buttons too hard or Too Deep pushing it too hard may damage the internal mechanism for those with arthritis or limited Mobility a gentle push with the palm of the hand also works
