Ella's Bubbles manufactures its own acrylic shower pans, in three standard roll-in sizes and in custom rectangular sizes up to 44 inches wide by 80 inches long, with the drain placed left, right or center to your order. The bases are finished acrylic, so they need no tile, and they are sold through your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850. The size and drain limits are explained in What Is the Largest Custom Shower Base Ella's Bubbles Can Make?.
Standard Roll-In Sizes First
Ella's wheelchair accessible roll-in shower base comes in three standard sizes: 30 x 60 inches, 32 x 60 inches, and 36 x 60 inches. All three are ADA curb-less roll-in pans that a wheelchair can roll straight into, and each is available with a left or right drain, so tell the team where your existing drain line sits in the floor and it confirms which drain position matches your size. If one of these fits, it is the simplest choice because the drain sits in a set position for that size. Roll-in and barrier-free bases ship with a self-adhesive collapsible rubber dam. See Wheelchair Accessible Shower Base Sizes, Drain Positions, and What Is Sold Separately for what ships with the base and what is separate.
What a Custom Pan Can Be
- The largest custom base is 44 inches wide by 80 inches long. A 38 by 80 inch base with a left drain is within the limits, and a custom 58x30 inch base with a center drain has been produced. A request larger than the maximum, such as 53 by 76 inches, cannot be produced.
- Only rectangular sizes are made. Bases with angled or curved edges are not offered.
- Custom bases are made for three-wall alcoves and for corner installations, and the team asks which layout you have so the drain and edges are placed correctly.
- The drain can be placed left, right or center, but it must sit at least 9 inches from each wall. A drain only 7 inches from the threshold edge is not possible, even on a custom base.
- A custom shower base typically has a threshold of about 3 inches. For a barrier free entry, zero threshold bases sit flush with the surrounding floor instead.
Ella shower pans, standard or custom, are finished acrylic and are ready to use once installed. Your contractor sets the base, connects the drain and finishes the walls around it.
Walls, Kits and Where Each Is Carried
Shower products are sold per item, so a complete roll-in shower is put together from the base in your size and drain position, a wall system sized to the base, and accessories such as grab bars or a shower door. Ella also makes shower wall panels at 98 inches high in a plain white finish, a CNC routed design, and a digital print option. Complete one-piece and multi-piece shower kits are Home Depot items, while bases, the rubber dam and wall systems are available through your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850. Cultured marble kits have been on hold with no restock date, so check availability before planning around them. The family is compared in Ella Shower Kits and Bases: Multi-Piece Showers, Roll-In Bases, and Cultured Marble.
How to Request a Custom Pan
Measure the finished opening, not the framing, before requesting a custom size. If your existing drain is in an unusual spot, or the installation is on a concrete slab with no access from below, open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support with a simple drawing of the space showing the walls, the size you want and where the existing drain is. The team confirms whether a base can be made to match and what drain hardware ships with it. Contractors and remodelers who expect to buy regularly can apply through the Ella's Bubbles Dealer Program, which also covers custom acrylic shower bases made to fit specific project needs.
