Wheelchair Accessible Shower Base Sizes, Drain Positions, and What Is Sold Separately

Ella's wheelchair accessible roll-in shower base comes in three standard sizes: 30 x 60 inches, 32 x 60 inches, and 36 x 60 inches. All three are ADA curb-less roll-in pans that a wheelchair can roll straight into, and the drain position is specified when you order. Sizes outside the standard three can be made to order. Pricing is not published in this knowledge base. For current pricing and availability on any base, wall kit, or accessory, contact your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850.

Standard Sizes and Drain Positions

The three standard bases share a 60 inch length and differ in width: 30, 32, or 36 inches. Each is a curb-less roll-in pan, so there is no threshold to step or roll over. Drain placement is specified at the time of order. Left-hand and center-drain bases are among those the team has supplied, so tell the team where your existing drain line sits in the floor and it confirms which drain position matches your size. An overview of the base family, walls, and matching pieces is in shower bases, walls, and filler pieces.

Custom Sizes

When a standard size will not fit, a base can be made to your dimensions. Requests handled by the team have included pans shorter than 60 inches, pans longer and wider than the standard sizes, and other footprints with a center drain. Size ranges, threshold options, and the drain placement rules for custom pans are explained in custom-size shower bases. Measure the finished opening, not the framing, before requesting a custom size, and follow how to measure for fit so the base arrives ready to set.

What Ships with the Base and What Is Separate

The base is sold on its own. Shower products are sold per item rather than as a single bundle, so a complete roll-in shower is put together from the pieces you need:

  1. The roll-in base in your size and drain position.
  2. A wall system sized to the base, such as the plain white acrylic three-piece panel kit, a CNC engraved pattern in acrylic, or a marble-look three-piece panel kit.
  3. Accessories such as grab bars or a shower door.

How the multi-piece kits and cultured marble options compare is covered in Ella shower kits and bases.

How to Get Current Pricing and Timing

Open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support or call (800) 480-6850 with the base size, drain position, and any walls or accessories wanted, or ask your Ella dealer. Contractors and remodelers who expect to buy regularly can apply for the dealer program, and dealers can look up shower products in the dealer portal; the program is described in the Ella's Bubbles dealer program and becoming an Ella dealer or installer. This knowledge base does not state processing or shipping timeframes for shower items, so the team confirms the current timing for your specific order.

Common Questions

What sizes does the roll-in shower base come in?
Three standard sizes are offered: 30 x 60, 32 x 60, and 36 x 60 inches. All are ADA curb-less roll-in pans. Custom sizes can be made when none of the three fits your space.
Can I choose where the drain is located?
Yes. The drain position is specified when you order, and left-hand and center-drain bases have both been supplied. Tell the team where your existing drain line sits so it can confirm the matching position for your size.
Does the shower base come with the walls?
No. The base, wall panels, and accessories are separate items so you can build the combination you need. The team can put a full list together for you when you call.
How do I find out what a shower base costs?
Pricing is not printed in the knowledge base. Contact your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850 with the size, drain position, and any walls or accessories. Dealers can look up shower products in the dealer portal.
Can a wheelchair roll straight into the base?
Yes. The standard bases are curb-less roll-in pans designed for wheelchair access, with no raised curb at the entry. Ask the team about options for containing water if your layout needs them.
