What sizes do shower pans come in, from smallest to largest?

Ella's Bubbles shower pans run from a 30 by 30 inch custom minimum up to a 44 inch wide by 80 inch long custom maximum, with three standard sizes in between: 30 by 60, 32 by 60, and 36 by 60 inches. The standard sizes are the simplest choice because the drain sits in a set position for each one, and a custom build fills any space a standard pan will not. The Standard Sizes

Ella manufactures its own acrylic shower bases in standard sizes of 30 by 60, 32 by 60, and 36 by 60 inches, each with a left or right drain. All three share the 60 inch length and differ only in width, so the width of your alcove usually decides which one fits. The same three footprints are offered as wheelchair accessible curb-less roll-in pans, with the drain position specified at the time of order; left-hand and center-drain bases are among those the team has supplied. The Smallest Shower Pan

The custom shower base page lists a minimum of 30 by 30 inches, and that floor applies to both three-wall alcove bases and corner bases. There is no stock pan smaller than the 30 by 60 inch standard, so a square or short footprint is always a custom request. Sizes such as 46 by 46, 50 by 30, and 36 by 44 inches have all been handled as custom builds, and a 58 by 30 inch base with a center drain has been produced, so pans shorter than 60 inches are routine.

The Largest Shower Pan

The largest custom base is 44 inches wide by 80 inches long, in a rectangle only, with the threshold on the longer side. Corner bases top out at 42 by 60 inches. A 38 by 80 inch base with a left drain is within the limits, while a request such as 53 by 76 inches cannot be produced. Bases with angled or curved edges are not offered, so a space that needs a non-rectangular pan is not a fit for an Ella base. Drain Placement and Threshold Height

On a custom base the drain can be placed left, right, or center, but it must sit at least 9 inches from each wall; a drain only 7 inches from the threshold edge is not possible even on a custom pan. A custom base typically has a threshold of about 3 inches, and the custom page galleries show a 32 by 60 inch base with a 4 inch low threshold and a second version with a 2 inch low threshold, so confirm the height when you request your size. For a barrier-free entry, zero threshold bases sit flush with the floor, and the SMC line adds a 1 inch reversible linear-drain base and a barrier-free linear-drain base. Before Your Contractor Cuts the Floor

Measure the finished opening, not the framing, and note where the existing drain line sits. Every Ella pan, standard or custom, is finished acrylic that is ready to use once installed and is not tiled over. Custom sizes have not always been offered and the maximum size has been corrected in the past, so confirm with your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850 that your size is currently available before demolition begins.
