The difference between one line and two is the difference between one new circuit from your panel and two, so it is worth knowing before the walls are closed. A Monaco never needs three circuits. What on the Monaco Actually Draws Power

The Monaco overview video presents the tub with a three speed air massage with Auto Purge, hydro massage therapy with an intensity control dial, and an in-line water heater that maintains a consistent, comfortable water temperature. The three system schematics that list the Monaco also draw an ozone generator, an LED chromatherapy light and the electronic control box. So if you add the heated seat to an air plus hydro Monaco, plan for two circuits, not one. The heated seat is listed as its own add-on, so check that it appears on your order confirmation, and have your electrician review the spec sheet for your exact combination of options.

On the 15 amp question, 20 amps is the published standard for every line. A 15 amp line can work on some lighter packages, but it is not what Ella specifies, and a new circuit is the perfect moment to do it right. The plug itself can settle the matter. The other has an actual 20 amp plug, with one blade turned sideways, and that plug only fits a 20 amp receptacle. 1. The package name from your order paperwork. The line count follows the package, so this is the first thing to confirm.
2. The cord count. Once the tub is on site, count the labeled cords. On a two line tub the stickers read Line 1 20 Amp and Line 2 20 Amp, and each cord gets its own circuit.
3. One plug per circuit. Two labeled cords on one GFCI circuit trip the breaker as soon as the second pump starts.
4. One layer of GFCI protection. The GFCI can sit at the breaker or at the receptacle. One or the other is sufficient.
5. Outlet location. Place the outlets under the seat area, inside or directly behind the equipment compartment, so the pump and heater cords reach without extension cords.
6. Clearance. Keep other appliances at least 3 feet from the tub.
