Fiji 36x66 and Solo 32x60 Infusion Microbubble Alcove Bathtubs: Specs, Electrical and Warranty

Updated September 2026

The Fiji and the Solo are conventional alcove acrylic bathtubs from Ella's Bubbles with the Infusion Microbubble Therapy system built in. They are not walk-in tubs: there is no door, no seat and no threshold, so you step over the side as you would with any standard alcove tub. What they add is the same microbubble system used on the walk-in line, which pressurizes the water with air and releases a cloud of tiny bubbles through a single jet for a soft, skin-cleansing bath. This article gives the printed specifications for both, the electrical requirement, the warranty line as printed on the sheets, and how they differ from the walk-in models.

The Microbubble System on Both Tubs

Both sheets list the same Infusion Microbubble Therapy System: a 10 amp, 1200 watt system with a 1 HP pump, a pressure vessel, an agitator valve, an air switch and one jet. The Fiji operates it from a digital control and the Solo from an on/off push control. There are no hydro or air jets on these tubs; microbubble is the only therapy, which is also why the water stays quiet and non-turbulent during a bath. The Infusion Microbubble Therapy article explains what the bubbles do for the skin and how the system is operated.

The video shows the same Infusion system in action: one touch of the micro button generates billions of microbubbles from a single port, and the water turns from clear to cloudy as the tub fills with bubbles. On the Fiji and Solo the port and the control are the only visible signs of the system, since there are no other jets.

Drain and Plumbing

Each tub has one 2 inch PVC T-type drain with two outlets and an end cap, plus one overflow with a cable-operated opener that has an extended chrome handle for an easier grip. The two-outlet drain body lets your plumber connect the house drain from either direction and cap the unused side, as described in the plumbing and drain configurations guide. Faucets are not listed on either sheet, so plan the faucet with your contractor as you would for any alcove tub.

Electrical

Both tubs require one dedicated 120 volt electrical line with a 20 amp GFCI standard three-prong outlet. Have a licensed electrician install it, and keep the tub area clear of other appliances as you would for a jetted walk-in tub; the electrical requirements guide covers GFCI placement and cord reach.

Warranty as Printed

The Fiji and Solo specification sheets print a 5 year warranty on the tub shell, frame and parts and refer you to ellasbubbles.com for the detailed terms. Because these are alcove tubs rather than walk-in baths, the walk-in warranty document does not automatically describe them; if you have a coverage question on a Fiji or Solo, include your serial number and the team will confirm the terms that apply to your unit. The warranty terms for showers, alcove tubs and accessories article summarizes what each published document says.

How They Differ from an Ella Walk-In Tub

  • No door, seat or low threshold. Entry is over the side of the tub, at 24 inches high.
  • Soaking is lying down, like a standard bathtub, at 16 inches (Fiji) or 17 inches (Solo) of depth.
  • One therapy, microbubble, rather than a menu of air, hydro and foot packages.
  • Single drain with a two-outlet body, rather than the dual drains on most walk-in models.
  • Same 20 amp GFCI dedicated circuit requirement as most jetted walk-in tubs.

If you want to lie down but need a door, the LayDown walk-in tubs offer a glass side-entry door in 30 by 60 and 32 by 72 sizes, and the walk-in tub versus regular bathtub article lays out the practical differences.

Already Have a Conventional Tub?

If you like the idea of microbubble bathing but are keeping your existing bathtub, Ella's Bubbles also offers the Infusion Microbubble Therapy Universal Installation Kit, a small-footprint system designed for standard conventional tubs. Its manual and warranty are published on its product page, and the retrofit kit article explains what the kit includes and how it is installed.

Common Questions

What are the Fiji and Solo alcove tubs?
Conventional alcove acrylic bathtubs with the Infusion Microbubble Therapy system built in. The Fiji is 36 by 66 inches and adds four LED chromatherapy lights and a panoramic glass front; the Solo is 32 by 60 inches.
What are their dimensions and weights?
Fiji: 36 by 66 by 24 inches, 180 pounds net, 250 pounds shipping in a 38 by 68 by 32 inch crate. Solo: 32 by 60 by 24 inches, 170 pounds net, 240 pounds shipping in a 34 by 62 by 32 inch crate.
What electrical do they need?
One dedicated 120 volt line with a 20 amp GFCI outlet for the 10 amp microbubble pump.
What warranty applies?
The spec sheets print a 5 year warranty on shell, frame and parts. The team confirms coverage for a specific serial number, and a clearance unit carries the terms stated on its listing.
Are these walk-in tubs?
No. They are alcove bathtubs without a door or seat. If you need a low threshold and a seat, the walk-in line is the right place to look, and several walk-in models offer microbubble as an option.
Does the Fiji's glass front open for entry?
No. The panoramic glass front is fixed; it is a viewing panel, not a door. Only the LayDown walk-in tubs have a glass door you step through.
Can I get hydro or air jets on the Fiji or Solo?
No. Microbubble is the only therapy on these tubs. For hydro or air massage, choose a walk-in model.
The water is not turning cloudy. What should I check?
Confirm the tub is filled above the microbubble port before starting, then work through the microbubble troubleshooting article, which covers the pump, pressure tank and air switch chain.
