What Does the Ella All-in-One Installation Package Actually Include?

There is no Ella all-in-one installation package. Ella's Bubbles makes walk-in tubs but does not perform installation or charge for it, so your order covers the tub itself, built to order as one complete unit, and a licensed local plumber and electrician do the installation. What a complete tub order does contain, from the shell to the drains and panels, is laid out in What Are the Best Bathtub Packages That Include Everything You Need?.

What Your Ella Order Actually Covers

An Ella walk-in tub arrives as one complete unit with four layers: the tub itself, the therapy equipment, the faucet you select, and the finishing pieces. The Ella Petite shows what comes as part of the tub before any therapy choice is made: a gloss white acrylic shell reinforced with fiberglass gelcoat on a stainless steel frame with adjustable leveling legs, an inward-swinging brushed stainless steel door with frosted tempered glass, a removable front apron with two access panels, one stainless steel chrome deck-mount grab bar, two 2 inch four-port drains with end caps, two overflows and two drain openers with extended chrome handles, plus one reversible end panel and one 7 inch extension panel so the tub still finishes a standard 60 inch alcove. Included items vary by model, so the feature list for your exact configuration is the one that counts.

The table separates what ships from Ella from what the installer provides, which is the real answer to the all-in-one question.

ItemPart of your Ella order?Who provides it
Tub shell, door, seat, frame with adjustable leveling legsYesElla's Bubbles, assembled and tested to order
Therapy package (soaking, hydro massage, air massage, microbubble, independent foot massage)Yes, the one package you choose when you orderElla's Bubbles, built in at the factory
Faucet setYes, the faucet you selectElla's Bubbles
Drains, overflows, end panel and extension panelYes, varies by modelElla's Bubbles
Installation labor, plumbing and electrical connectionsNoA licensed local plumber and electrician you hire, or a dealer that offers installation
Technical support for the installerYes, free, with manuals and live video helpElla's Bubbles
Warranty on the installation laborNoThe installer who did the work

What this means for your bathroom is that the tub side of the project is complete when the crate arrives, and the labor side is a separate hire. Nothing on the tub is left for the installer to source, and nothing about the installation is something Ella supplies, performs or bills.

The video shows the extension panel installers call the fill kit. The installer sets the tub and then cuts the panel to fit the walls, so an alcove that is out of square still finishes cleanly, and the panel rests on an adjustable stainless steel shelf support bracket that is an extension of the tub frame. That support is the reason the panel is treated as one integrated component of the tub rather than a shelf held by silicone.

Who Installs the Tub

Hire a licensed, experienced local contractor, meaning a plumber for the water and drain connections and an electrician for any therapy system. You can choose your own installer, and any licensed installer is fine; certification by Ella is not required. If you would rather have a recommendation, Ella can find a recommended installer through its certified network, so ask your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850 when you order. Ella does not send technicians, before or after installation. If a part is ever needed under the warranty, the part ships and a local licensed plumber or electrician does the labor.

What Ella's Technical Support Does for Your Installer

Although Ella does not install, it does not leave your installer on their own. Technical support is free for the life of the tub and helps your installer with manuals and live video help, along with phone and email support. That covers questions about the dual drains, the faucet set, the electrical line for the therapy system and the extension panel, all of which are documented for the model you ordered. Ella's lifetime limited warranty is a parts warranty: Ella ships replacement parts after verification, while labor is warranted by the independent contractor who did the work. The published terms exclude installation and plumbing or electrical connections, so if you have a question about how a specific installation situation is treated, open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support and let the team confirm it.

When a Dealer Offers Installation

Some dealers offer installation themselves. In that case the dealer decides what their package includes and the installer warrants the labor, so an installation package you see described in a dealer listing belongs to that dealer, not to Ella. Ask the dealer for a written list of what is in their package, and check the tub configuration on your order confirmation just as carefully as the labor. Two items are worth confirming in writing because the model name alone does not settle them: the heated seat and backrest, which is explained in Does This Tub Include the Heated Seat and Backrest?, and the in-line heater, which comes with hydro massage packages and not with soaking-only or air-only tubs, as described in Does My Ella Tub Include an In-Line Heater?. The therapy systems are installed at the factory, so these choices are made before the tub is built, not by the installer.

What to Have Ready Before You Talk with the Team

  • The model or family you are considering, or the size of the space if you are not sure yet.
  • The door side you need, left or right as you face the tub, which is driven by where your house drain sits.
  • The therapy package you want: soaking, hydro massage, air massage, combined packages, microbubble, or heated seat and backrest.
  • Any accessories, such as a shower column kit, extension panel or glass shower screen.
  • Your ZIP code, and whether you already have an installer or would like a recommendation.

With those details the team can confirm the exact configuration, which is the conversation described in Common Buying Questions and Who Answers Them. Ask about the installer at the same time so the tub and the labor are lined up together.

Common Questions

Does Ella's Bubbles install the walk-in tub it makes?
No. Ella's Bubbles makes the tubs but does not perform installation or charge for it. A licensed local plumber and electrician do the work, and you can choose your own installer or ask Ella to find a recommended one through its certified network.
Is installation included with an Ella walk-in tub order?
No. Your order covers the tub as one complete unit: the shell with its door and seat, the therapy package you chose, the faucet you selected, and the drains and panels that finish the alcove. Installation is a separate hire with a licensed local plumber and electrician.
Can I hire my own plumber and electrician to install the tub?
Yes. Any licensed, experienced local contractor is fine, and certification by Ella is not required. Ella's technical support helps your installer for free with manuals and live video help.
Who warrants the installation labor on my walk-in tub?
The installer who did the work. Ella's lifetime limited warranty covers parts, and replacement parts ship after verification, but installation, plumbing and electrical connections are excluded from Ella's coverage. If a dealer provides installation, that dealer's installer warrants the labor.
What does a dealer installation package include?
Some dealers offer installation themselves, and in that case the dealer decides what their package includes. Ask the dealer for a written list, and confirm the tub configuration, including the heated seat and backrest and the in-line heater, on your order confirmation since those are built at the factory.
Does the tub ship with the drains, panels and faucet it needs?
Yes. The tub arrives as one complete unit with its drains, overflows and drain openers, the end panel and extension panel for the model, and the faucet you selected. Included items vary by model, so check the feature list for your exact configuration.

About this guide. Answers in the Ella’s Bubbles Support Center are compiled from real conversations with tub owners, our technicians’ notes and the product documentation, then reviewed by our team. Tub models and options have evolved over the years, so a detail here may differ slightly from your exact tub. If something looks different on yours, send us your serial number and a specialist will confirm it for your model.
