Ella shower pans are acrylic bases, and the complete Ella shower kits are fiberglass with an applied acrylic finish. The bases, the collapsible rubber dam and the wall surrounds are available through your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850, while the complete one-piece and multi-piece shower kits are carried by Home Depot. Acrylic Pan or Fiberglass Pan

The stand-alone Ella shower base is acrylic. It is molded with the slope, threshold and drain built in, and it ships as the finished walking surface, so it is not a pan to tile over. The multi-piece low-threshold and barrier-free showers, and the one-piece stalls, are made in the USA from fiberglass with the AcrylX applied acrylic finish and Armorcore reinforced walls, which is why grab bars and seats can be mounted anywhere on those walls. Ella also offered cultured marble bases in the past; those kits have been on hold with no restock date, so check availability before planning around them.

Where Each Product Is Carried

  • Complete one-piece and multi-piece shower kits, such as the Liberty, Freedom and Accessible Plus packages, are Home Depot items and are made to order. Delivery scheduling, missing parts and returns for those kits go through Home Depot.
  • Shower bases, the self-adhesive collapsible rubber dam and the wall surrounds are available through your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850.
  • Wheelchair roll-in bases come in 30 by 60, 32 by 60 and 36 by 60 inch sizes with left or right configurations, and seamless no-step-over bases are also offered in left or right layouts.
  • Custom acrylic bases are built to your length and width with a left, right, center or custom drain position. The published range runs from 30 by 30 inches up to 80 inches long by 44 inches wide, and availability of the custom program has changed over time, so confirm first. Finding a Dealer

Ella's Bubbles is a family-owned company based in Chicago, where products are assembled, and it runs a dealer program for businesses that offer its walk-in tubs, shower bases and related bathing products to their own customers. Dealers have brochures to show you, can arrange a live video tour of the Chicago showroom, and can help you pick the base whose size and threshold suit your room. What Is Not Included with the Pan

Ella does not supply or recommend a shower valve, trim or shower head. You choose those from the plumbing brand you prefer, either from where you purchased the shower or from any plumbing supplier, and your plumber roughs the valve in before the wall panel goes up.
