H2 hydrogen therapy on an Ella walk-in tub is a hydrogen generator and pump installed under the molded seat, fed from a distilled water tank, that infuses the bath with molecular hydrogen as micro and nano bubbles through a single jet below seat level. How It Works

Once the water covers the hydrogen inlet jet, one press of the H2 button starts the generator. The blue tank feeds distilled water to the generator, which produces hydrogen and injects it into the bath as micro and nano bubbles through the single jet. Because the hydrogen rides in nano bubbles, it stays in the water longer. By the time the tub fills to the drain overflow, the concentration reaches 1500 PPB, and it may rise to about 2000 PPB during an extended 15 to 20 minute bath. Since 1000 PPB equals 1 ppm, that is 1.5 ppm rising toward 2.0 ppm. What to Know as an Owner

• Fill the blue tank with distilled water only. Tap water carries minerals the system is not designed for, and topping up with anything else can lead to weak output or a dirty tank over time.
• Before first use, cut the shipping ties, remove the container from under the tub, connect the hose to the front of the tub, then fill the tank with distilled water.
• Never press the H2 button until the water is above the hydrogen inlet jet and the microbubble port, because the pump must not run dry.
