The Ella Standard 30x52 and Standard60 30x60 are our hydro-only value walk-in tubs, built on the inward-swing acrylic S-shape door platform with a single 2 inch drain. Each ships in one configuration: 18 hydro jets with an in-line heater and intensity dial, the 5-piece fast-fill faucet, and a floor drain with an emergency pull chain. The Standard60 is also the only Ella tub offered with the H2 hydrogen and microbubble system.

Standard 30x52

  • Actual 29 5/8 in W x 52 3/4 in L x 37.5 in H; seat 22 x 18 in; 43 in interior and 15 in soaking depth (video).

Standard60 30x60

  • Actual 29.53 x 59.84 x 38 in; seat 21 x 20.1 in; 106 gallons unoccupied, 70 to 90 occupied; crate 32.68 x 61.81 x 47.64 in; net 238 lb, shipping 359 lb; no extension panel; drain orderable left or right.
  • Diverter switches run the foot and leg jets only, the back jets only, or both.

The Standard60 adds 8 inches of length and fills a 60 inch alcove without an extension panel.

Hydro System and Drain

Both use an 8.1A 900W pump, a 6A 650W in-line heater that maintains temperature, push control, and an intensity dial. They are hydro-only: no air massage, no microbubble package, and no soaker version, and the spec sheets list no ozone generator. The heated seat and backrest (4A) is the only add-on. Electrical: one dedicated 20A 120V GFCI outlet. The sister models on the same platform are described in Zen and Zen60 and Flow.

The drain is one 2 inch gravity drain with an overflow and emergency pull chain. The T-type body under the tub has multiple ports so the installer can connect from either side; unused ports come capped. It is a single drain, not the dual drain used on other families.

The installation-tips video shows how the 30 x 52 Standard fills a 60 inch alcove using the faucet-side end panel plus the 7 inch extension panel. If the extension panel fit is tight, trimming the corner off the main apron gives a cleaner fit, or the tub slides in with the standard end piece and apron and without the end panel. It also shows that the hydro pump and heater share a single plug on a dedicated GFCI outlet and breaker, the dual-port drain that can be connected from either side with the other capped, the adjustable frame with access points for on-site door adjustment, the removable access panels, and the front legs screwed to the subfloor. Common Questions

Which manual covers the Standard?
The Ella Standard manual also covers the Zen walk-in tub. The spec sheet for your specific model, such as the Standard 30x52 or Standard60 30x60, describes its as-sold configuration. Both the manual and spec sheets are listed in our manuals and spec sheets by model section.
Can I get a basic Standard without jets?
No, you cannot get a basic Ella Standard walk-in tub without jets. Both the Standard and Zen models always include a hydrotherapy system. If you are looking for a plain soaker tub in a similar size without jets, our team suggests the Capri or Elite models, which you can find in our soaking-only walk-in tubs section.
Can I add air massage or microbubbles to a Standard?
No, you cannot add air massage or microbubbles to an Ella Standard or Standard60 walk-in tub. These models are hydro-only platforms, and additional therapies cannot be added after the tub is built. The Standard60 is the only Ella tub offered with the H2 hydrogen and microbubble system, which cannot be combined with Infusion microbubbles.
Is the back of the Standard finished?
No, the long back side of the Ella Standard walk-in tub is unfinished and is designed to sit against a wall. The included end panel is used to finish the exposed short end of the tub. This design ensures a clean look for the visible side of the tub.
Does the Standard have dual drains?
No, the Ella Standard walk-in tub does not have dual drains. It uses one 2-inch gravity drain with an overflow and an emergency pull chain. The T-type body under the tub has multiple ports, allowing the installer to connect the drain from either side, with any unused ports coming capped.
Does the Standard have an ozone generator?
The spec sheets for both the Ella Standard and Standard60 walk-in tubs do not list an ozone generator. To keep the hydro lines fresh and clean, we recommend running the monthly vinegar flush as described in our cleaning and monthly maintenance guide.
What electrical does the Standard need?
The Ella Standard walk-in tub requires one dedicated 20A 120V GFCI-protected outlet. The hydro pump and the in-line heater share a single plug on this circuit. If you opt for the heated seat and backrest add-on, it will require its own separate electrical circuit.
Can the Standard60 be ordered left or right?
Yes, the Ella Standard60 walk-in tub drain is orderable for either a left or right-hand configuration. The Standard60 model also needs no extension panel because its 60-inch length already fills a standard 60-inch alcove.
What if the extension panel is tight in my 60 inch alcove?
If the 7-inch extension panel for your Ella Standard 30x52 walk-in tub is tight in a 60-inch alcove, you have a few options. You can trim the corner of the main apron for a tighter fit, or you can slide the tub in with the standard end piece and apron and leave the extension panel off.
