Yes, Ella supplies replacement drain components for its walk-in tubs. That includes the drain elbow, the threaded nuts and gaskets that join the drain body to the piping, the drop-in drain cover or plug, the seat that a cable-driven plunger drops into and, when the inside of the drain is damaged, the complete drain assembly. To get the right part the first time, open a ticket with photos of the tub label and of the failed part, because drain designs have varied across tub generations and the team matches the part to your exact tub.
Which Drain Parts Can Be Replaced
Ella walk-in tubs use a gravity dual drain with a multi-port drain body under the tub, and most of its pieces are available individually.
- Drain elbow. The elbow joins the drain body to the house piping. If an elbow or its securing nut cracks, the elbow is replaced as a unit, and a dual drain may need one for each side.
- Gaskets and nuts. The threaded nuts and rubber gaskets that screw onto the drain tailpieces can turn brittle over time and start to weep. These are tub-specific parts, so order them from Ella rather than searching for a generic fitting.
- Drain cover or plug. The drop-in cover at the bottom of the tub is easily lost during a plumbing visit. It simply drops back into place.
- Plunger seat. On tubs with a cable-driven plunger, the piece the plunger seats into can wear away. Photos are essential here because several drain styles have been used over the years.
- Complete drain assembly. When an internal piece is missing or broken and the cause is unclear, the team may recommend the full assembly so everything seals properly.
What the Team Needs from You
- Take a photo of the model and serial label. It is on the sticker behind the magnetic access panel next to the door, or on the paper label on the side of the shell.
- Photograph the drain from above the tub floor and, if your plumber has the apron off, the drain body and elbow underneath.
- Note where you purchased the tub and whether you are the original owner.
- Open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support or call (800) 480-6850 and attach the photos. The team identifies the part and confirms what applies under your warranty.
- Give the shipping address where you want the part sent so the repair is not held up.
Warranty Coverage or Purchase
The lifetime parts warranty covers the waste and overflow hardware for the original purchaser at the original installation address. It is not transferable, so a later owner of a tub purchases the part and pays the shipping. Either way, Ella ships the part and does not send a technician. A local licensed plumber removes the old piece, fits the new one and rechecks the connections for leaks. If you are unsure whether the drain hardware you need is covered, ask when you open the ticket rather than assuming either way.
If You Bought Through a Dealer
Tubs sold through a dealer are usually supported by that dealer for installation follow-up, and the team can point you back to them. The replacement parts themselves still come from Ella's Bubbles, so if the dealer is slow to respond you can open a ticket with the photos described above and the team will help identify the piece. If a drain handle or overflow plate is the problem rather than the drain body, see replacing a drain handle or overflow plate, and for handles that wobble see why drain handles come loose.
Temporary Fixes Are Not a Substitute
Plumbers sometimes cap a failed port with a rubber cap or a glued test cap to stop a leak on the spot. That is fine as a stopgap, but generic hardware-store couplings often will not seat snugly on the Ella drain body, so ask for the proper Ella part and have it installed as soon as it arrives. Keep the temporary cap in place until the replacement is on site.
