The Ella Flow walk-in tub is the compact hydro tub built to pass a 28 inch doorway: actual size 28 inches wide by 48 inches long by 36.5 inches high, a 20 by 13 inch seat, 65 gallons unoccupied (30 to 50 occupied), and 16 hydro jets with an in-line heater. It is the only Ella tub whose spec sheet calls for a 15 amp GFCI outlet, and it ships with an extension panel so it can still fill a standard 60 inch alcove.

The video presents the Flow as fitting through a 28 inch doorway; the 27 3/4 inch shell is what passes, and the 32 inch crate can be opened outside. What Is Included

• Hydro: 16 jets, 8.1A 900W pump, intensity dial, 6A 650W in-line heater, push control, with foot and calf jets.
• 2-piece fast-fill faucet (up to 16 GPM) with two 3/4 in by 5 ft supply lines and a 5-setting hand shower, in chrome or brushed nickel.

• Removable front apron, removable end panel covering the faucet, and an extension panel for 60 in alcoves.

Electrical

The pump and heater plug into one dedicated 110/120V line with a 15A GFCI outlet, where other Ella tubs specify 20A. Your electrician should still test the GFCI and confirm local code; the electrical common questions article covers 15 versus 20 amp circuits in more detail.

Extension and Side Panel

1. The Economy extension kit holds 2 L-shaped stainless brackets, 1 L-shaped plastic bracket, 2 pressure metal clips, and four 1/2 inch nuts. Mount the three brackets, clamp the panel flush with the top and front, pre-drill 3/8 in oversize, fasten with seven screws, and silicone the seams.
2. Cut the side panel 3/8 in for a flush wall fit: tape it, mark a line top to bottom, clamp a straight edge, cut with a saw blade, then attach it with the magnets on the frame.

Flow Versus the Other Compact Tubs

The Mobile is smaller still at 26 by 45 inches with an outward door, the Front Entry puts the door on the end for 40 inch spaces, and the Petite is the narrowest stainless-door tub at 27.5 inches actual. The Flow is the one that combines an inward door, a 15 amp circuit and a 28 inch doorway, with the Standard and Zen as its longer hydro-only siblings.
