On the tubs that include it, the chromatherapy LED light is part of the therapy package rather than a separate add-on, and it is installed at the factory with its own control box and transformer, so it is not something that gets dropped from an order. If you would rather not use it, press and hold the light button for two seconds and it stays off. What the light is, how it works and which models offer it are explained in What Is Chromatherapy (LED Light) on a Walk-In Tub?.
Where the Light Is Included and Where It Is Not
The LED chromatherapy light is included with the dual and triple therapy packages, so a tub with two jetting systems, such as hydro plus air massage, comes with it as part of the package. On hydro-only tubs it is available as an extra. It is not offered on the Front Entry with any package, and it is not offered on the LayDown60, at 30 by 60 inches, or the LayDown72, at 32 by 72 inches. Soaking-only tubs have no massage system and are not sold with the light. Because package contents vary by model, confirm that the LED is listed on your written proposal or order confirmation before you accept it, and ask your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850 about the exact model and package you have in mind.
Why It Stays on the Order
The LED sits inside the tub and connects to its own chromatherapy control box behind the access panel, powered through its own transformer and completely separate from the pump circuits. Like the jets and the pumps, it is built in at the factory when the tub is drilled and jetted to match your order. It is part of the package it comes with rather than a line item you add or remove, which is why a dealer or owner asking to leave it off a dual therapy tub is told that it comes standard with that package. If your proposal lists the LED even though you did not ask for it, that is expected on a dual or triple therapy tub.
If You Do Not Want to Use It
Leaving the light off is the same on push controls and the digital touchpad. One press starts the cycle through eight colors, repeated presses hold a color, and pressing and holding for two seconds turns it off. A light that seems stuck on one color is usually just holding that color. On push-control tubs the button is pneumatic and sends a puff of air down a thin red tube to the control box, where a relay clicks to switch the light. Push controls vs digital touchpad shows where the light button sits on each panel style.
A Spec Sheet Note
The LED is rated 0.5A. If a Capri or Lounger spec sheet prints the LED at .04AMP, that is a known misprint of the ozone generator's rating, which applies only to ozone sterilization. If the light will not come on at all, check that the red air tube is attached at the control box and at the push button, then open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support with your model, serial number and a short video of what happens when you press the button.

Common Questions
Can I remove the LED light from a dual therapy tub order? No. On dual and triple therapy packages the chromatherapy LED is part of the package and is installed at the factory, so it is not left off. If you do not want it, press and hold the light button for two seconds and it stays off.
Is the chromatherapy light an optional upgrade on Ella tubs? It depends on the package. It is included with dual and triple therapy packages and is available as an extra on hydro-only tubs, and it is not offered on the Front Entry or the LayDown tubs.
Do soaking walk-in tubs come with the LED light? No. A soaking tub has no massage system, and the light is not part of soaker packages. If colored lighting matters to you, choose a seated jetted model with a dual therapy package.
Does the light use the same power as the pumps? No. The LED has its own control box and transformer and is rated 0.5A, separate from the pump circuits. A light problem does not point to a pump problem, and a pump problem does not point to the light.
Why does my proposal list an LED light I did not request? On a dual or triple therapy tub the light is included with the package, so it appears on the specification automatically. Check that the rest of your package is listed correctly before you accept the proposal.
