How to Add a Second End Panel to Your Walk-In Tub Order or Buy One Later

Updated September 2026

Every Ella walk-in tub includes one end panel, and you need a second one only when the tub sits against the back wall with both short ends open to the room. In a corner or a three-wall alcove the wall covers the other end, so the included panel is enough. A second panel can be added to your order before it ships or purchased later through your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850. When it is bought later it is invoiced on its own, paid by card and shipped with tracking.

Do You Need a Second Panel?

Sketch the room before you order. If either short end of the tub will be visible, that end needs a panel. Corner installs and alcoves need only the panel that ships with the tub. Some customers order the second panel anyway so the tub is finished on both ends in case the layout changes later. The end panel is a different part from the extension panel that closes the gap between a shorter tub and the wall, so check which one your layout calls for. What an end panel is and where it fits covers the basics.

Adding It at Order Time

  1. Tell your Ella dealer or the team that both ends will be exposed. The second panel is added as a separate line so it is clearly listed on your order.
  2. Confirm the line is on your order paperwork before the tub is built.
  3. The tub, its included panel and the second panel then ship with your order.

Buying One for a Tub You Already Own

  1. Have your model, serial number and door side ready. The serial number is on the label behind the magnetic access panel next to the door.
  2. Call (800) 480-6850 or open a ticket at ellasbubbles.com/support and ask for an end panel for your tub. Dealers can place the order on a customer's behalf.
  3. An invoice is emailed for approval. Payment is by card, either a new card or one already on file for a dealer account. If a card is declined, this article explains the usual causes.
  4. Once the panel ships you receive a receipt with the tracking number.

When the Panel Arrives

Inspect the panel as soon as it is delivered and keep all packaging. Any shipping damage, including concealed damage found after the driver leaves, must be reported within 48 hours of receipt so a claim can be filed. If the mounting brackets and clips on a new panel look rotated or crooked, that is how they are turned for shipping, and this article shows how they are meant to sit. The one-panel-included arrangement applies across the lineup, including outward-swing models such as the Monaco and the Ella Capri and stainless-door models such as the Elite.

Common Questions

Does the tub come with panels for both ends?
No. One end panel is included with every tub. A second panel is needed only when the tub is placed against the back wall with both short ends open to the room, and it is ordered as a separate line.
Can the included end panel fit either end?
It depends on the model. Give your model, serial number and door side when you order a second panel and the team sends the panel that matches your tub and the end it will cover.
Is the end panel the same as the extension panel?
No. The end panel covers an exposed short end of the tub. The extension panel closes the gap between a tub shorter than the alcove and the wall. Check both lines on your order so you have the right one for your layout.
Can I order a second panel months after the tub was installed?
Yes. Call with your model, serial number and door side, approve the emailed invoice, and the panel ships with tracking. Dealers can place the order for their customers as well.
What if the second panel arrives damaged?
Keep all packaging and report the damage within 48 hours of receipt through ellasbubbles.com/support or (800) 480-6850 with photos. Inspect for hidden damage as well as visible damage before you file.
