An end panel, sometimes called a side panel or finishing panel, is the reversible panel that covers the exposed short end of an Ella walk-in tub, hiding the shell edge, plumbing and frame in a corner or exposed-end installation. One reversible end panel ships with every Ella tub and can go on either end, and a second end panel is available when both ends of the tub will be open to the room.

How It Works

Picture the tub in the right corner of the bathroom: the right end sits against the wall, so the end panel installs on the exposed left end, and the reverse for a left corner. Because it is reversible, the same part works either way. It attaches with two white screws and does not add any length to the tub; only the extension panel fills an alcove gap, which is why the two are often confused. Which Ella Models Have It

Every Ella walk-in tub includes one reversible end panel, from the compact Mobile to the two-seat tubs. Wider models such as the ShaK include one end panel for the 36 inch side, and an additional panel can be added if the other end will be exposed. What to Know as an Owner

Two things save the most calls. First, the two white end-panel screws are often taped to the back of the panel or tucked in the parts box inside the tub, so look there before reporting them missing. Second, every removable panel, including the end panel, the extension panel and the front apron, must come off before the tub is moved into the house, and the tub is lifted only by its frame.
