Ella HomeCare 32x60 Transfer Tub: Assisted Bathing With a Pre-Filled Tank

The Ella HomeCare Transfer Bathtub (SKU HC3260L or HC3260R) is an assisted-bathing walk-in tub with an 80 gallon internal tank that pre-heats water so the tub fills in about 90 seconds after the bather is seated. Its documentation states it is designed exclusively for assisted bathing, not self-bathing, and must be used under the supervision of a caregiver or trained professional. How the Tank Works

1. Set the temperature; the inlet solenoid fills the tank and stops at the set level.
2. Seat the bather, close the door, and press the fill (injection) button; the 9A 900W tank pump moves water into the tub and stops when the tank is empty or the tub is full.
3. Fill works only above the mid-water sensor, and tank filling and injection never run together.
4. The system turns off after 1 hour; one hour later a drain solenoid empties any water left in the tank, so a tank that drains itself is normal. An air respirator valve prevents vacuum.

Jets, Faucet, Plumbing, Electrical

• Hydro: 8 jets (6 back, 2 foot), 9A 900W pump, intensity dial, digital controller.
• 1-piece wall-mount faucet up to 18 GPM with hand shower and slider (the wall-mount faucet is not included with the tub; it is purchased and installed separately and serves as an additional water supply, and we offer a wall-mount faucet with slider and hand-held shower); the optional waterfall faucet flows up to 11.9 gallons per minute with a 24 in slider. • Tub drain: one 2 in pop-up with cable stopper and built-in air vent, plus a hydro drain on the DRAIN switch. Tank drain: 1/2 in outlet teed into the bathroom drain.
• Two 5 ft braided 3/4 in supply lines to shut-off valves (not included).
• 20A dedicated GFCI, 115/120V; the grey cord powers the tank and the black cord the hydro pump.
