The Standard Build

A standard Ella tub is wired for 120 volts at 60 Hz, and each powered system is connected to its own dedicated GFCI-protected circuit. A Tub Built for 220 to 240 Volts

Ella tubs are available in more than one electrical configuration. For customers in Europe, Australia, South America, and other regions with a 220 to 240 volt supply, the factory can assemble the tub with massage pumps and equipment for that supply and fit the matching plugs. This is a custom order, so the voltage must be specified when the order is placed and should appear on your order paperwork. If it is missing, ask for it to be added before the build begins, because tubs are assembled to the order. Once the tub is delivered, a qualified electrician in your country connects it. A tub built for your supply still needs a dedicated circuit for each powered component, installed to local code, including whatever residual-current protection your country requires in place of a North American GFCI.

If You Already Have a 120 Volt Tub Outside North America

A standard tub is designed for a 120 volt, 60 Hz supply only and must not be connected directly to a 220 to 240 volt supply. Ella does not supply a voltage converter. Before the tub is connected, contact support with the model and serial number and have a licensed local electrician review the specification sheet and manual, which support can provide, so the load figures for each component are known. Ordering the tub built for your supply in the first place avoids this situation.

Plumbing Outside North America

Ella drain lines are 2 inches in diameter and connect to a 1 1/2 inch to 2 inch house drain. Have a local plumber confirm how those connect to your drainage before the tub arrives.
