Both product videos describe the Companion as a tub that fits a standard 60 inch alcove while still providing a comfortable seat width, leg room and soaking depth. As the video explains, soaking depth comes from the interior length, the seat length and the depth from the seat to the overflow, so compare your own seated measurements with the drawing before ordering.

Door, Deck and Drains

The Companion uses a custom-crafted brushed stainless steel door with frosted tempered glass and a chrome locking handle. It swings inward and lifts out for easy cleaning. Like every Ella tub it has an extra-low threshold and a textured floor. The spec sheet also lists a removable front apron with two access panels, one reversible end panel, a deck-mounted chrome grab bar, a stainless steel towel bar and Ella's patented 360 degree swivel tray in white matte. Draining is handled by two 2 inch four-port drains with two overflows and two cable-operated openers with extended chrome handles, which the video calls Ella's dual drain technology.

Therapy Systems Included

• Seat hydro massage. A 7 amp pump feeds 14 upper seat jets, 7 on each seat, with an intensity dial and digital controller.
• Independent foot and calf massage. A separate 7 amp pump drives 4 foot jets and 2 calf jets on its own push control, with a 5.5 amp in-line water heater and ozone sterilization, so you can enjoy a foot massage without filling the whole tub.
• Air massage. A 4.5 amp three-speed pump feeds 10 seat jets, 5 per seat, plus 4 foot jets, with Auto Purge that activates 20 minutes after the pump is turned off.
• LED chromatherapy. A multicolor 0.5 amp LED bulb on a transformer, run from the digital control pad.

The videos sum that up as a 14 jet three-speed air massage and a 20 jet hydro massage. Faucet and Electrical

The Companion comes with the Ella two-piece fast-fill faucet set, rated up to 16 gallons per minute at 60 PSI under ideal in-home plumbing, with two 5 foot supply lines with 3/4 inch connectors and a pull-out chrome hand shower on a 5 foot braided hose. The video notes you can order a dual two-piece set so both bathers have a hand shower.
