Two-Seat Tubs on Video: Big4Two, Escape, Tub4Two and Companion Walkthroughs

Ella's Bubbles builds four two-seat walk-in tubs: the Big4Two, the Escape, the Tub4Two and the Companion. All four are true two-seaters, meaning each seat has its own jets and its own share of the systems, and none of them is simply an extra-large single tub. The three videos below walk through the family, and the notes under each one stand on their own if you would rather read than watch.

Why a Two-Seat Tub Is Not an Extra-Large Tub

The presenter explains that Ella's two-seat tubs come with either an outward or an inward swing door and are ideal for a couple who want to spend time together in the bath. The important point is that they have two separate seats: each seat has its own jets and its own independent systems, with no sharing between sides, so both bathers get the same back massage, the same jets, the same air jets, the same heated seat and the same high-flow faucet. He warns not to confuse an extra-large bathtub with a two-seat bathtub; a two-seat tub has two independent bathing spaces. He also notes that these tubs are exceptionally comfortable for one person, since you can kick your feet up on the other seat like a recliner, so you do not need both seats filled every time you bathe. The video was filmed when three models were offered; the Escape has since joined the family.

Doors and Faucets by Model

This tour covers the Big4Two, the Companion and the Tub4Two. All have a bright easy-clean acrylic surface, low thresholds, textured floors and dual 2 inch drains; the narrator notes the Big4Two drains in about three minutes thirty seconds. The three-speed air massage has auto purge, the hydro massage has an in-line heater and intensity dial, and ozone sterilization is included. On doors, the Big4Two and the Tub4Two have a frameless U-shaped outward door with Ella's three-latch gear and shaft lock, while the Companion has a custom brushed stainless steel door that is removable for cleaning. All three feature independent foot massage so you can enjoy a foot massage without filling the tub. On faucets, the Tub4Two and the Companion come with a two-piece fast-fill faucet set and the Big4Two comes with a dual two-piece set, each with an extendable multi-function shower head. Chromatherapy, optional heated seats, the folding glass screen kit and the rain shower column kit round out the options.

Adding the Escape, the current door and faucet map is:

  • Big4Two, 36 by 80 inches: outward U-shaped door, three-latch lock; twin two-piece fast-fill faucets with two hand showers.
  • Tub4Two, 32 by 60 inches: outward U-shaped door, three-latch lock; two-piece fast-fill faucet with hand shower.
  • Companion, 32 by 60 inches: inward removable brushed stainless door with frosted glass; two-piece fast-fill faucet with hand shower, dual set available.
  • Escape, 36 by 72 inches: inward removable brushed stainless door with frosted glass; twin two-piece fast-fill faucets with two hand showers.

Independent Foot Massage on Two-Seat Tubs

This clip features the Big4Two and the Tub4Two with independent foot massage. Both let you sit in comfort and enjoy a powerful foot and calf massage without filling the entire tub, since the foot jets sit in the shared footwell and run on their own pump. There is room for two bathers or one. It reviews the three-speed air massage with auto purge, hydro massage with in-line heater and intensity dial, the option of the five-piece fast-fill faucet set with extendable shower head or a faucet set of your own choosing, and the glass screen, available with three or four panels or both together for the long Big4Two deck. On the current spec sheets every two-seat model, including the Companion and the Escape, lists a separate foot and calf hydro pump with its own intensity dial, and the two-seat brochure notes that each seat gets its own four foot hydro jets.

Controls, Options and Circuits

The two-seat family runs on a digital push control that handles the hydro massage, the three air speeds, the LED chromatherapy and the foot jets, with the hydro intensity dial alongside. Infusion microbubble therapy and the heated seat and backrest are upgrades on every model. Because a full package runs several pumps, the comparison chart lists two dedicated 20 amp GFCI lines for Air + Hydro + Hydro and three when microbubble is added; your electrician should work from the schematic that matches your order.

Common Questions

Do both seats have their own jets and heated seat? Yes. Each seat has its own hydro and air jets, and the heated seat option warms the seating for both bathers.

Is an extra-large tub the same as a two-seat tub? No. An extra-large tub such as the Shak or Big4One has one wide seat; a two-seat tub has two independent seats and systems.

Which two-seat tubs have the frameless U-door versus the stainless door? Big4Two and Tub4Two have the outward U-door with the three-latch lock; Companion and Escape have the inward removable stainless steel door.

Which faucet comes on each two-seat tub? Two-piece fast-fill on the Tub4Two and Companion, twin two-piece sets on the Big4Two and Escape; a five-piece set or a faucet of your own is discussed in the videos, so confirm the edition on your order.

Which two-seat tubs have independent foot massage? All four, each on a dedicated foot and calf pump.
