Yes. Air + Hydro + Microbubble is one of the six therapy packages Ella's Bubbles offers, and it is listed for the Royal, Monaco, Transfer32 and Transfer60, while the TransferXXL, the Big4One, the ShaK and the two-seat tubs can carry air, hydro, microbubble and independent foot massage all at once. The one family that cannot combine therapies is the LayDown, which takes a single therapy, so a LayDown walk-in tub cannot be ordered with hydro jets and air bubbles together. Which Therapy Combinations Fit Which Tub: Hydro, Air, Microbubble, and Foot Massage by Model lists every package by model; this page answers the narrower question of which tubs take the triple and what it changes.
Why Every Therapy Is Its Own Pump, and Why Size Decides
Ella tubs are ordered with one of six therapy packages: Soaking, Hydro, Air + Hydro, Hydro + Microbubble, Hydro + Independent Foot Massage, or Air + Hydro + Microbubble. Back hydro, independent foot hydro, air and microbubble each get a separate pump under the seat, and Ella does not use a diverter to split one pump between systems, so every system you order runs together at full strength. The trade-off is space. The bigger the tub, the more pumps fit beneath the seat: compact 52 inch tubs take two systems on most models, the Royal, Monaco, Transfer32 and Transfer60 take three, and the large single-seat and two-seat frames take all four. Any package with two or more systems is a dual massage package and includes the LED chromatherapy light. The independent foot massage video on this page shows the two-pump idea in practice, one pump for the seat jets and one for the foot jets with an intensity control dial on each, rather than a diverter valve that takes power from one side to feed the other. The same principle is what lets air, hydro and microbubbles run side by side.
Which Models Take Air, Hydro and Microbubbles Together
| Model | Therapy systems the frame carries | Air + Hydro + Microbubble | What it means for your order |
|---|---|---|---|
| Petite, Capri, Transfer26 | Maximum two therapies | Not listed | Choose two systems, such as Air + Hydro or Hydro + Microbubble |
| Elite | Air + Hydro, Hydro + Foot, Hydro + Micro, Hydro, Soaking | Not listed | Two systems on a 52 inch frame; confirm any three-system build with the team first |
| Royal, Monaco, Transfer32 | Three | Listed | The smallest frames that take the triple package |
| Transfer60 | Three (Air + Hydro + Foot or Air + Hydro + Micro), not four | Listed | Pick microbubble or independent foot massage as the third system |
| TransferXXL | Triple packages on its spec sheet; all four as a special order | Listed | Ask before planning electrical if you want all four |
| Ultimate | Hydro + Foot + Air standard; microbubble by special order | Special order | Microbubble is added on top of the standard three |
| Big4One, ShaK, two-seat tubs | All four possible | Listed | Room for every therapy at once |
| LayDown 30x60 and 32x72 | One therapy only | Not available | Hydro or air, not both |
What the table means in practice is that the triple begins at the Royal, Monaco and Transfer32 and is available on everything larger, while the compact 52 inch tubs stop at two systems and the LayDown stops at one. The Deluxe sits between: it is a fixed Air + Hydro, independent foot massage can be added, and microbubble is by special order. If your heart is set on air, hydro and microbubbles, the model shortlist is the Royal, Monaco, Transfer32, Transfer60, TransferXXL, Ultimate by special order, and the Big4One, ShaK and two-seat tubs. If the bathroom only fits a 52 inch tub, the choice becomes two systems, and the Hydro + Microbubble or Air + Hydro package is where to look.
Adding Independent Foot Massage as a Fourth System
Independent foot massage puts the foot and calf jets on their own hydro pump with its own intensity dial, instead of running them from the seat pump. Ella publishes a schematic for all four systems at once, Air + Hydro + Hydro Foot + Microbubble, and its model list prints Transfer60, XXL and Ultimate, where XXL is the schematic's short form for the TransferXXL. The by-model guide, however, limits the Transfer60 to three systems and describes the all-four TransferXXL build as a special order the team has confirmed, so treat the schematic as the drawing for the build rather than a promise that every listed frame takes it, and confirm a four-system order with your Ella dealer or the team at (800) 480-6850 before your electrician plans the circuit. What the Air + Hydro + Hydro Foot + Microbubble Schematic Shows (Transfer60, TransferXXL, Ultimate) walks through that drawing's eight components. If you want hydro, microbubbles and independent foot massage without the air pump, that is a separate schematic covering the Monaco, Royal, Transfer32, Transfer60 and TransferXXL, explained in Can I Get Hydro Jets, Microbubbles and Foot Massage in One Tub?.
The LayDown Question
Both LayDown sizes, the 30x60 and the 32x72, are listed for one therapy only. That is the direct answer to whether a LayDown can be ordered with hydro massage jets and air bubbles together: it cannot. A LayDown owner chooses the single therapy that matters most, and the combination packages belong to the walk-in frames with a seat, where the pumps live. If a lay-down bathing position and a combined therapy package are both essential, the conversation with your Ella dealer or the team is about which priority wins, because no LayDown build in the published lineup carries two systems.
What the Combined Systems Are Like to Use
- Air massage runs on its own variable speed pump with a three-speed push control. The first press is high, the second is medium, the third is low and a fourth press turns the system off. About 20 minutes after the air pump is turned off, Auto Purge starts on its own and runs for 120 seconds to blow residual water out of the air lines. It is fully automatic, cannot be stopped, and is normal even if it begins while you are still in the tub.
- Hydro massage has its own pump and an intensity control dial on the deck. Turning the dial up introduces more air into the jet stream for a stronger flow, and turning it down softens it. On a build with independent foot massage there is a second dial for the foot jets. The ozone generator's line joins the hydro circuit, so ozone sanitizes the hydro plumbing.
- Infusion microbubble therapy fills the water with billions of tiny oxygen-rich bubbles released through a single jet and is switched on and off with one button. It has its own pump and pressure vessel, and it has to be chosen at order time because it cannot be added to a tub later.
- Jet counts are not fixed per model. The schematics send you to your tub's technical drawing for the air jet count, and on the Transfer family the jet count is determined by the therapy package purchased, so the figure on your own spec sheet is the one that applies.
Because each system is a separate pump, each adds to the electrical requirements printed at the top of its schematic, which is the practical reason the team asks you to settle the package before the electrician plans the supply. Every system runs together, so the triple gives you air, hydro and microbubbles at the same time in one bath rather than one at a time.
