If your Ella walk-in tub has a custom chrome handle that needs adjustment, you can access the mechanism by first removing the front apron. Locate the protective cap and then remove it to expose the locking nut. This adjustment applies to walk-in tubs with a stainless steel inward-swing door, such as the Elite, Petite, Royal, Deluxe, and Ultimate models.

Loosening the locking nut will create less tension for the handle, making it easier to move. Tightening the locking nut will create more tension. Adjust the chrome locking handle accordingly as needed. This adjustment can resolve issues where the locking handle is too tight to move, a symptom often found on stainless steel inward-swing doors.
